My Tribunal

This option was just made available yesterday evening. Knowing headhunters history, do you really believe that?

Not to mention the person to nominate him has not stepped up yet? I find that hard to believe.

Agreed. Until late last night, no one even knew that there was a “tribunal” option under anyone’s name.

One thing is clear, however, this is not “Political Nation” so anyone trying to degrade a forum created in order to keep a level of seriousness about bodybuilding/weightlifting on this website needs to look in a mirror.

IF he has actually started it himself.

If not, that forum is degrading itself.

What would I see in a mirror if I pointed that out?

It got moved here by the Mods, from GAL.

If members decide they don’t want a particular kind of nonsense in T-Cell Alpha, what’s wrong with that?

I never posted there. They presumed me guilty, that I would post ‘nonsense’ there. I thought that a person was innocent until proven guilty.

I don’t post political stuff in the Supplement forum. Why would I go and post unrelated stuff in someone’s private club?
Well, it seems to me that most of your posts are deliberately made to incite controversy and get a rise out of people to no productive end. T-Nation Alpha was created in part to avoid that kind of bullshit. So, whether you intended to post there or not, I think it’s entirely legitimate for people to presumptively determine they want to keep that kind of behavior out.

This is not a trial, and this is not a court. You have to live with the reputation that you have created. It seems to me you may have nominated yourself anyway. But if you did not, it makes sense to me that people would want to keep you out because of the way you have conducted yourself. The comparison to Jim Crow is ludicrous. That was discrimination based on an indelible characteristics people were born to. Whoever nominated to ban you did so because of your own actions.

Fortunately for T-Nation, this is not a US governed policy. You are not necessarily innocent until proven guilty. You may be held accountable for past actions. You may not be given the benefit of the doubt. You may be judged by the character you have shown in the past.

I think, more likely than not, this will result in the best solution.

Gee, what a hard decision on trolling.
If a member were to click on HH’s name, the tribunal option would have come up instead of the add member option, so they would have known he was a member.

I do not like the anonymous nature of the accusations.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he put himself in the tribunal just to see what would happen, then again maybe he pissed someone off.

Either way if you want to kick someone out you should stand up and say so.

If someone is getting their panties all ruffled up for controversy HH started in the GAL or SMA forums, they need to lighten up a bit. Those forums should not be taken seriously. As for his “trolling” in the political forum, I actually like it. While some of his posts are pretty off the wall and controversial, they do make you think outside of the box and can lead to some very interesting and beneficial discussion. I would welcome that sort of post in any forum. I thought that was in part what the T-Cell was for, to create discussion and debate ideas. HH is great at keeping a debate going with valid ideas.

Thanks, I found it.

Hmmm. A petition to vote out someone who hasn’t even posted in that particular forum: getting rid of someone who is otherwise entitled to be there before they do anything. What cowardly nonsense.

Isn’t it cute to watch big, bad, intimidating bodybuilders act like a clique of 13 year old Heathers?

I think it is even cuter to watch supposed weight lifters avoid ever actually posting about weight lifting, or only do so on rare occasions. Meanwhile, they fill up an entire forum on off topic issues about politics on a BODYBUILDING WEBSITE…and that doesn’t sound odd? Talk about calling the kettle black.

Has anyone found out if people like JeffR even lifted weights?

I give up! It was the Prof! Sorry Prof, had to tell!!
(j/k)

Prof, you’ve many times called me ‘insane’ or an ‘idiot’. Now I’m suddenly devious enough to nominate myself, then get ‘tribunalled’, just to stir up a lot of people? Hmmm…I must be Cesare Borgia reborn!

I must take my hat off to the person who DID nominate me. That WAS excellent trolling. Maybe he even did the Tribunal thing. Gents, we are in the presence of greatness!

And, to the person who nominated me, your secret will be safe with me.

Agreed.

They’ve tried this private “special people” forum before. Problem with it was, the decorum was such that a dictionary was more interesting to read. It died off due to declined interest.

Yall can have your special people forum. HH, who gives a fuck, really? Just browsing it, I haven’t seen anything particularly revolutionary or enlightening on it. It’s just more of the same stuff from the BB forum.

Without all the garbage. Hence, better than the bb forum.

True, but we ARE Americans, with a strong sense of fair play and upright dealings. You may suspect someone but Americans usually don’t condemn beforehand. That’s a big reason why we are the most moral people on the planet.

I love our country and all that but we are not the most moral people on the planet.

That made me laugh. Anyone who actually believes that forum is just like the bodybuilding forum was obviously not visiting the bodybuilding forum before it was created. That entire forum had become nothing but people degrading bodybuilding and acting like muscles were to be avoided. That attitude has greatly changed just recently since the T-Alpha forum was created.

We couldn’t even discuss training related issues in that forum a month ago without 50 newbies all acting like Brad Pitt was way too big to strive for.

Needless to say, this topic has been discussed to death. If you don’t like the idea of a forum where we can discuss bodybuilding and weightlifting without the bullshit that was in the previous bb forum, then simply stay out of it.

Judging by the number of hits many of those threads are getting, it isn’t as boring as you seem to wish it were.

As much as I despise pretty much everything HH stands for - I think I have to side with him on this one (damn, now I’ll have to wash out my mouth with soap).

Someone has voted him in, and someone must have tried to vote him out without even looking at what he had to contribute to the T-Cell. So much for a serious discussion, upholding certain standards, and a mature approach.

As nice as a cleaner training forum is - and I concede that although being opposed (even in the face of all these other tribunal, nutrition and GAL threads posted in there); it looks divisive, badly planned and hence a bit silly so far. I hope it doesn’t stay that way.
