My T-Nation Tattoo

Let’s face it: it doesn’t matter what your opinions of the OP’s tattoo are, there are far, far worse things to put on your body than the T-Nation logo.

Personally, I don’t buy into the idea that T-Nation is a symbol of commercialism. Nobody is charged to join, nobody is forced to buy supplements from the store, but everybody has access to countless articles from world class trainers, and allowed to ask advice from some very experienced members from around the world.

Now if the OP had ‘Biotest’ on his arm, it would be a different story, but the people that claim T-Nation is a cynical marketing ploy need to stop and think about where they would be if it didn’t exist.

I’m not just talking about training info, this extends to friendships, life lessons, and plenty of other things that can’t be learned from a book. I don’t care if this comes across as overly sentimental - you can’t put a price on these things, and as such, I wouldn’t regard them as commodities.

This site offers an opportunity to interact with people that you would otherwise never have met, or benefit from their experiences. Don’t take it for granted.

So did you get one too?

I don’t really like the LOOK of the OP’s tat.

However, if I ever chose to get a tat, it would probably be a T-Nation logo as well - more like rainjack’s.

As far as my thoughts on the concept of getting a T-Nation logo tattoo - well, I can’t really add much more to Varq’s post.

Sums it up better than I ever could.

Ok guy.

Just because I don’t mindlessly embrace an advertising campaign I shouldn’t be lifting weights.

That’s some bulletproof logic.

Maybe you should. Then you could use yourself as an avatar instead of some Calvin and Hobbes comic, wise ass
Some of us don’t carry the prestigious title of “club bouncer” and need a buffer between our private and professional lives.

The first rule of Fight Club is that you do not talk about Fight Club tattoos.

One time in the gym, I saw a dumb guy from my high school and he had ford tatted on his left shoulder and the mustang symbol tattooed on his right.

Varq, Roybot, and Lonnie all said it best.

I’m smart enough to know when I’m drunk on the kool-aid and when something is worth my time.
T-Nation and what I’ve gained from it has been more than worth my time.

 1. Values, character traits, morals, internal traits
 2. People around you (friends, family, coaches etc.)
 3. Institutions (church, school, clubs)

I’d say that T-Nation is an institution. From this institution I have learned how to flat out be a better man. Also, some of the people here are the smartest, funniest, and coolest people I have had the pleasure of listening, learning, and conversing with.

Actually, no. Why do you ask? Got a weakness for burly men with tattoos have we, sailor? So sorry to disappoint.

Lol what does that mean? If you show your physique on here you get fired? Well I guess if I was your manager and saw a picture of your fat ass half naked I’d fire you too, so you have a point.

And btw this prestigious club bouncer pulls more pussy in a month then you do in a year.

The best tats make sense to nobody else but you. That is how it should be. That is the definition of passion; to everyone else it is an obsession, but to you, it is passion.

Good post
x2

De Lonce that was a good post but a company logo I will never have inked on me.

What if T-Nation goes under?

Also it may be hard to explain what T-Nation is in 40- years when technology advances and you are trying to tell a younger person what a website was…

Luckily you can still get it covered up or removed.

If I’m not crying myself to sleep every night over Bill Gates’ billions, I’m pretty sure I’m not torn up over some random internet guy and his random internet brag.

Goes perfect with yer monster truck, Oakley shades, and Brut cologne.

I was rather amused at your heartfelt response to a man with a tattoo of a website on his shoulder.

I will never understand the argument of “but think about when you are old” Why the fuck would I care what tattoo I have when I’m 80? I’ll be lucky to remember what my name is and more concerned about not shitting my pants than the ink on me.

Damn if I lived my life thinking “what will I think in 50 years” than I won’t have lived much of a life!

I rather look back and laugh at myself for my dumbass mistakes than never taking chances or living in the moment.

As for the OP’s tat, it’s a bit over the top for my taste, but as long as he likes it it’s fine with me.

I’d hardly call it ‘heartfelt’. Doesn’t really count as a ‘response’ either, seeing as I wasn’t directing my comment at the OP, or giving an opinion on his tattoo for that matter. So basically you’ve managed to amuse yourself with things I never actually wrote. Well, that’s a first!

In future, it might be a good idea to actually read and understand a post before jumping in with a glib remark. Just desperate for laughs and attention, aren’t we?

Glad you found some humour in my posts. I’ll try to do the same for yours, but I’ve yet to find any. Promise to keep looking, though. Now where’s that magnifying glass?..

I don’t know that I like the idea of getting exactly the logo tat like the OP did. I could see working the symbol into a design or getting it smaller like RJ.

At least it means something to him. All the people I see walking around with a “design they thought looked cool they saw in the tattoo shop” make me sick.

As for the “when you are old” thing. how many 60+ year old go around without a shirt anyway? When you have old wrinkled saggy skin, what difference does some blurry ink make?

If the OP is sitting around holding his grandkids at 80 without his shirt on, he’ll have other issues to worry about.

Where is the OP now?

Can’t take the heat?

…I think the T-Nation logo is pretty badass…but I’d never get a logo/name of anything in ink on me.

I’m disappointed that you don’t remember the first guy to do this.

Holy facepalm, batman. How did I miss THAT?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!

Just about pissed myself. Read through the whole thread. Similar comments from different people.
Shows to go you that some things never change.

Hey, RJ, did you get it lasered off yet?
