Because we all need a reminder for a hair cut now and then, grats on the squat  See I can compliment too. I’m about to have a spike just for you.
But I like my long hair! I’m a student I don’t need to look professional I just need to look sessi haha.

And thank you.
yeah, but look at pbclax’s progress since he got his major hair cut PR

srs, im indifferent, it’s only going too far when your squatting and you catch your hair on the bar. short = win for me

Ask em for a high and tight. That’s how I roll

Dont hate on the flow guize. LET IT FLOWWWWWWWWWW

locks of luv <#

Will be following! Your log is my learning tool. hehe Keep it up youngin’ =D

Dude, the progress you make seemingly week-to-week is seriously impressive. Also, that plate loaded pulldown station is badass. I had one of those for a bit but had to let it go when I moved. Killer work in here dude.

Lol omg so much talk of hair.

@Buddha_Belly: Thanks for following! I hope I can teach you a thing or two  but I consider myself a beginner still lol. Ask me anything you want.

@WhiteFlash: Thanks! I definitely like going to that gym, as it’s got a pretty good atmosphere. The pulldown station is pretty good, but their squat rack is pretty ghetto lol.

HFS and Shoulders

A) Standing OH w/ Fat Gripz
135 X 3
150 X 3
165 X 2
175 X 1
185 X 1 PR
I haven’t done any standing work in a while but this felt pretty good. I think I should be able to get 205 by the end of CT’s next 4 week phase.

B) Deadlift
405 X 2 X 3
These were too easy.

C) Bench
275 X 2 X 3 not too bad
295 X 1
315 X 1
This was a bit too slow for HFS work. My buddy went for it so I had to join in lol. Probably shouldn’t have but the rest of the session was still good.

D) Top-Half Seated Press from Pins
225 X 3 X 2 PR
225 X 3, 2, 1
225 X 3, 1, 1
The 2nd part of this last cluster set wasn’t great. I felt off for some reason but the last rep was much better.

E) Seated DB Press
75 X 8 X 3
This was much easier than I thought it would be.

F) Standing Alternating DB Press
45 X 8 X 3

G) Lateral Raises
30 X 8 X 3

NOTES: I felt great going in today and it turned out to be a pretty good session. I’m hoping OH will finally start moving, because I feel like I haven’t progress on it at all for the past year until today lol.

HFS and Quads

A) Squat
275 X 2 X 3
I think I was supposed to do 285 but I forgot. Either way, these felt good.

B) Bench
275 X 2 X 3
OMG the last set was amazing. I felt like I could have done 10 reps.

C) Deadlift
405 X 2 X 3
Not bad, the usual.

D) Front Squat
235 X 3 X 2
(235 X 3, 2, 1) X 2
These felt alright today, but they never feel great.

E) HS Shrug Deadlift (this is the closest thing to a trap bar I have lol)
4pps and 25s X 8 X 3

F) Leg Press
5pps X 8 X 3

G) BSS
60 X 8
I started the 2nd set but my stability was horrible and for some reason I felt like I had had enough for the day so I called it.

NOTES: I’m moving into my new apartment tomorrow morning and it will definitely take the entire day. And then it’s dinner with the family after, so no time to train, and I’m also picking up my girl from the airport at midnight! So I won’t get home til around 1 am, and then I’m traveling down to Wichita for the night to spend New Year’s with the family. Then we’re driving back to fly out Sunday night to Arizona so I’m not going to be able to train until Monday sometime in Arizona. If anyone on here is in the area or knows of anyone else who is and wants to get a session in, I’ll be training at a Gold’s Gym in that area so hit me up with a pm and we’ll get at it!

You prob could have done 10 reps because you are mazin. If you cut the hair, you will lose the source of your strength.

Good lifting. Stop getting so strong.

@bug: Sorry, the hair has been cut :frowning:

So I’ve been out of it for a while (the forums, not the gym) since traveling and not having internet up at my place yet. But I’ve still been training and hitting some good numbers in the gym. I’m at a point right now where I’m not really sure what I want to do. I am having trouble deciding if I want to spend 12 weeks dieting down for a bit of damage control, or if I want to just keep doing what I’ve been doing to keep the nice gains coming.

And I’m really leaning towards the latter. I think any time spent leaning up at this point is just time wasted that could have been spent getting stronger. Plus, my gf really wants me to “bulk up” as she says it  lol. I’m not into force feeding myself for the sake of making the scale move, because I’ve done that before and it does much more harm than good.

I think by typing this out I sort of answered my own question, but I still would like to think it over for a bit. I know there are some 12 week transformation contests around that I could do. That would be better than doing an actual bodybuilding contest, as I wouldn’t have to get extremely lean like I would have to if I were to get on stage. I just don’t think I’m ready for something like that, yet (referring to lack of overall size). I’m weighing around 210-215 in the afternoons lately.

Deadlifting the other day looked like this:

A) OH Press
155 x 2 x 5

B) Deadlift
405 x 2 x 5

C) Bench
265 x 2 x 5

D) Deadlift
465 x 3 x 3
15 Minute Giant Cluster Set:
465 x 1 x 20

I called it after this. I’ve been fighting a cold for about a week now, so I didn’t want to push it.

Good deadlifting. Take advantage of your girl wanting you to get even bigger, your lucky you have that! Wouldn’t bother dieting unless your talking a quick RFL Bug/Greg style before being back to gaining- have to agree, would be wasted time for someone making progress as fast as yourself.

I doubt there is much need for ‘damage control’. Of course I could be wrong, progress pics would rectify the issue.

LOL

I took some pics the other day but they are dull nude so I’m gonna need to black box them and I only have access to Internet on campus so no way am I doing it there lol. I’m getting Internet hooked up soon, though. Should be good to go next week.

Started Week 4 Phase 3 yesterday. It’s max testing week  I’m keeping these somewhat conservative because I have another strength club competition at the end of February so I’ll be going all out then. But, I hit a 345 bench yesterday.

A) OH Press
165 x 1 x 3

B) Deadlift
415 x 1 x 3
These were done without wraps, and only wore a belt the last set. First 2 reps were done double overhand with chalk.

C) Bench
225 x 3
245 x 1
265 x 1
285 x 3 (not sure why I did 3 here but oh well)
305 x 1
325 x 1
345 x 1 PR 15 pounds and decent bar speed
315 x 3 PR forgot to take a vid

D) Reverse Band Bench
Some stuff

E) Floor Press
Some stuff

345

NOTES: I took it rather easy after benching because I’m maxing for the rest of the week and I can see myself easily overdoing it if I’m not careful. But, this session felt pretty great which is cool because I actually felt a bit tired going in.

fuark. 345 is very impressive, congrats. your bench is going to end up insane at this rate. finally got the video to load on my crappy internet and it does seem you have even more in you which is crazy…

That’s a strong bench dude. You’ll hit 365 in a couple of months, easy.

Jebus, uncomfortable amounts of gains lately in here buddy! Keep it up!

Also very jealous of your arch, your set up is completely on point.
