You need to get back on it man. I’m busy breaking prs everyday and you’re here daydreaming about chicks, unacceptable. But yeah, I stopped worrying about women and everything has been much better
Speaking of college…if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your major?

Cut me some slack man, I have a penis. I’ve been hitting crazy PRs on squat and deads lately so it’s cool ![]()

Civil engineering. It completely destroys when it comes to homework but it’ll pay off in a couple of years. What about you?

I’m not in college; I’m a sophomore in high school. Don’t know what I’d want to major in.

Oh damn, enjoy it while you can. I’m not saying I’d rather be in high school, lol, but high school is a complete joke compared to college when it comes to studying and homework. I wish I would have started training in high school man. I was in a weight lifting class, but I didn’t care at all about getting stronger.
I was really good at, and enjoyed doing math. That’s why I chose engineering

Yeah. High school is fucking pathetic, frankly. They dumb down everything just so future dropouts can pass. The only class that I have that’s actually challenging is Honors Algebra II (I only have an 86%, WTF). My school’s weightlifting is a joke, too. I went down there because they have power racks, but the kids don’t even do anything more productive then a quarter squat and the coach has no clue what he’s talking about. I’ll probably major in something mathematically oriented; math has always come naturally for me.
And yeah, it sucks getting a late start on training, but at least you got into it whenever your testosterone was at its peak, right? Personally, my long term(ish) goal is to deadlift at least 600 before I graduate HS. Hope I can get it. ![]()
By the way, what’s life like in college? Do you live in a dorm or what? Seems like it would really hard to go to school, support yourself with a job, and lift at the same time…

Yeah I did weight class in high school as well, but only for an easy credit lol. I think they were more into just getting kids into shape though, summer weights was more towards getting the actual athletes strong.
College is awesome man. I’m living in a towns home 5 minutes from campus and right next to the football stadium. I’m fortunate enough to have wealthy parents who pay for my rent/food/gas as long as my grades are kept up (3.5 right now I believe) so I’m very lucky. It’s not out of the ordinary for me to have a 12 hour day though: wake up at 7:30-8:00, and nonstop class/homework/studying/lifting until 10 or 11 at night. Not much free time on the weekdays. But it’s still awesome, this town is heaven on Earth man. 30,000+ kids, more than half of which are women, and more than half of which are fairly good looking ;). It’s almost scary how the guys here are outnumbered by the ladies, and I love it haha
Cool. I’d like to attend the University of Pittsburgh myself. I may have to work out a few kinks, though. Did you get any scholarships? I hope I do; there’s no way in hell I’d be able to pay the tuition.

NOTES: I’m giving up on the ramping with the same reps thing. I’m going back to my old style of ramping: increase weight, decrease reps until my top set. So i could do just 2 reps with 205 but go for 6 reps with 225. I made progress doing that and don’t know why I changed anything. Oh well

I’ve actually been taking out loans myself. They aren’t put on interest until a few years AFTER I graduate, so it’s a pretty good deal. I slacked in high school so no scholarships for me. I have a better GPA now than I did in high school (3.5 right now i believe) and I’m taking much harder classes lol

NOTES: Taking tomorrow off, gonna do a pulse fast. I’m gonna try and lean up over the next few weeks with these. I put on 60 lbs in a little over a year so I’m thinking it’s time to do a bit of damage control. I’ve lost a few pounds already and am already feeling better from it so I’m gonna keep it up a little while longer.
Monday Morning Weigh-In: 193.6 lbs
I weighed 195 or 196 the day before I think, so I lost 2-3 lbs on the pulse fast. I really didn’t have any problems with hunger until I went to bed, then my stomach was growling like crazy. I took pictures of the day before and this morning, and it’s not anything super crazy, but I do look slightly leaner.

NOTES: 445 absolutely FLEW up, it was definitely an adrenaline rush from the song I played. I’ll probably play the same thing when I attempt 500 in the near future. I did the MAG-10 pulse fast yesterday so obviously the lack of calories didn’t affect today’s training. I’ll continue the fasts once a week for the next month or so to see if I can lean up without dieting on regular days

Thanks man. I’m hoping to make my way up to repping 2 plates soon, then 275 on flat should be cake by then. Hopefully you’ll still be on your way when I’m there ![]()
