My Plan: Increasing T

I have been reading forums left and right to see what supplements I should get from here to get my ass moving and sorry gut gone…someone…anyone correct me if I am wrong with what I think I should be taking…

First a little history…I am 46yo…6’1"…currently @265#…In my 20’s and 30’s all I cared about was strength…so I power lifted…deads…squats…bench…some t-bar (heavy)…curls for pretty…Best bench 350x2…best dead 545x1…best squat 705x1 (safety squat bar)…now after 3 (2 in the last 12 months) shoulder surgeries (and 1 more on the horizon)…before the next one I need to get moving before I get to the point moving is no longer an option…

I feel half dead now…I need to lift…lose weight…and get my T up…so here is what I want to get…tell me where my thinking is wrong:

HOT-ROX Extreme
TRIBEX Gold
Rez-V

Plan on stacking all of the above…5 days on 2 off…maybe not drop the Rez-V…might just keep that puppy continuous…Any help would be greatly appreciated…Thanks

Should have added that I am off of work (awaiting 3rd surgery) so I have a limited amount of time to get the ball rolling…hopefully the recovery time will be shorter then the previous 2…so right now I eat too dam good…rest too dam much…and the only stress I have is when momma makes me wait a day or 2 for some lovin…lol…again thanks for any and all help/direction

Looks good but remember to make nutrition, training, rest/sleep, and limiting stress the HUGE factor

Well I got my shipment about 1 hour ago…took my first stack about 20 minutes ago…I’ll say one thing so far…wow…I was in a foul mood most of the morning…now I feel great!..can’t wait for my sons to get home from school, as soon as they get here it’s off to the basement to get our benching done…I took 1 Hot-Rox Extreme…2 TRIBEX…and 3 Rez-V…all on a empty stomach…with about 16oz of water (the water was the hardest thing to get down, would have prefered my green tea…lol)…

Now I am not saying I feel better strictly due to the stack…but I guess mentally I am expecting alot from this…so we shall see…will try to keep this updated everyday…and post my gains and losses…current fully dressed weight is 266.8…if I bore some of you with this sorry…but if it helps someone who is in the same situation as me it’s very much worth it…

Sounds great! Definitely keep us updated. I think you’re going to enjoy the ride.

Sorry…missed a couple of days…Been very faithful with my stack…energy level has increased drastically…mood has been much better also…I have also found that if I take my stack very soon after waking up…

the cobwebs clear so much faster…also found out that you don’t wanna miss some food with in 4 hours of taking stack…got very light headed for abit till I realized I had forgot to eat lunch…once I ate was back to normal…working our has been a problem time wise…so not much to report there…will have time today to hit the bench…so will know more about that later today…

all in all I would say that so far so great (good just didn’t do it justice) should have the mrs take some before pics and progress pics as we travel this road…mrs is thinkin she might hit the HOT-ROX with me to get those few stubborn pounds off her…lol…oh and she really appreciates the extra energy I have gotten…lol

Sounds like things are working good for you. However when you run out of TRIBEX I would give Alpha Male a try, I’ve used both and Alpha Male definatly gave me a more noticable boost.

Should we assume you understand the importance of good fats in production of T?

A solid fish-oil supplement or the like might help to support all of this. Not to mention ensuring enough dietary fats in your diet.

The only reason I mention this is because it can be pretty common with people when “cutting” to reduce fat intake too much.

Yeah you should be getting in a LOT of good fats, take Flameout or just some generic fish oil capsules or flax oil. That will do wonders for you.

I 2nd that. Go to Costco or buy some Flameout or do both. Take 6-10 grams a day and up your dosage. There are a ton of articles on the importance of fish oil intake.

This is awesome…the more I write…the more I learn from your responses…absolutely awesome…I should add now that I am aware of it…each morning after taking my stack I have (after about a hour) been eating a yogurt mixing in a overflowing tablespoon of flax oil…

not sure if this is enough or not…but the people I got it form said 1 or 2 tablespoons a day should be good…am I getting enough? Thanks again for all your responses…

Any olive oil in there? That goes great. If you aren’t doing fish oil, too, do it. Fats are way important w/ tribulus, as the increased test. occurs through endogenous production, which simply cannot happen without generous quantities of cholesterol and fat. Fish, olive and flax seed oil combined should complete the equation.

Damn good start.

I second all the suggestions for fish oil. There are some good high quality supps out there in pill or liquid form.

The “perfect” fat stack (in my mind)
-flax oil throughout the day (1-2 tbsp total)
-1 tbsp olive oil and vinegar on salad
-3-6 fish oil capsules

(i should note that i don’t always take this much… and i’m not sure what the daily requirements are. perhaps some more knowlegable folk could comment here. my GUESS is this would be a SOLID starting point, and you could add more as necessisary. and how much would depend on how much you are getting from your food sources…)

That should get you primed for test production.

I also had my dr fax me my blood work taken in Nov…has all my results on it…not sure how to read alot of em though…lol…dhea 115…prolactin 7.8…test total 355…tsh .35…any others? I should add that i was trying a different product at the time (didn’t know about T-Nation then)…any thoughts?

While I know I will never see the numbers I had in my 30’s I would hope to feel good about what I am doing in my 40’s…at work, I can work circles around people half my age…plus since I am so big I do most of the “bull” work…

no wonder my shoulder is shot…guess what they say is true…“only the good die young”…but I am not ready to give up the ghost yet…so I’ll keep pluggin away…something is missing though…

I don’t feel the power yet…is there something else I need to add to my stack?..gimme some ideas guys…gotta get blastin here before they cut me again…at least will have something to atrophy while I recoup from the next (and hopefully last) surgery…thanks

So you did bench for two training sessions in a row? That is why your shoulder is fucked up! Remember balance!

Well I know what you mean about balance…guess I should say that…I am working out so light that it’s embarrassing…just so I don’t mess my shoulder up more…I (before surgery) was working out with 245lbs…3x10…

right now I am doing 155lbs 3x10…working more on form then power…and struggling with that…so I really wouldn’t think I am messing up my shoulder any more then it already is…hell I don’t know…I can’t just sit around and do nothing…

Well gotta rest for a few…got another shot in the shoulder…just came off my 2 days off the TRIBEX…nothing much else to say…except I am down to 259 since I started the stack!! nice loss so far
