My Makeshift Sled

Problem solved!

I really wanted to use a sled to do push/drag in my Globo gym but instead had to finish my workout then go over to a warehouse that had a sled to do my metabolic cardio… so I got creative and achieved a brutal workout in the comfort of my own gym.

Nylon strap, carabiner, cable machine attachment handles, towel, (2) 45lb plates, and the aerobics room, I was able to get an amazing workout in using this setup and hopefully not piss anyone off

Great job… an even better substitute for the towel would be the use of an industrial-grade circular mop head. Worked great for me.

Love the determination! That’s awesome!

Thanks guys! I had tried substitutes like pushing against a treadmill turned off but it’s not quite the same. I’ll have to check out the mop option too. Additionally, I had someone recommend putting furniture sliders on the bottom of the plates.

Now I need to figure out how to sub battle/conditioning ropes… I’ve heard of used fire hose but I’m wondering where to store it… maybe rent a bigger locker :: shrug ::

The furniture movers or Val slides work great I once trained at a gym that did that to use the sled indoors …I think they used furniture glue

Looks awesome! Very similar to the new Magic Carpet sled that Spud came out with!

Nice Job

You know I saw that one Rogue fitness and it inspired me to create this being way less than $90+ It’s a great idea though, especially if you want the benefits from the sled but its either cold outside or you don’t want to move the equipment to and from the gym

I love the improvised training equipment we see on here. I have been pushing/pulling a small single axle trailer loaded with hay bales. No idea how much it weighs. I have also thought about trying to build a cage out of 4x4 posts.
