Yeah phlegms that was my first time doing them and I really liked them. Hope you get access to a squat rack soon! Thanks for dropping in!
No problem dude, your log makes for interesting reading. You are a few months ahead of me in terms of training/strength so you are giving me some good numbers to chase!
Well thanks man! Glad I can be some inspiration. Keep up the hard work!

Chest - Tuesday 4/26/11

Bench
45x12
95x8
135x5
165x3
195x1
205x1
215x1 PR

I have a video of the 215 but my camera froze. Currently trying to reset it and get it working again.

Tried 225, didnt get it.
185x5 PR
135x15 PR

-After this, took it easy on a couple exercises cause I was pretty fatigued-

Inc BB Bench (2" above chest, no lockout, JM style)
45x6
95x6
115x6
135x6

Machine Press Stretch
45x10 10
45 10x10 10
45 20x10 10
45 25x10 10 PR

Inc DB Bench
45x5
55x5
65x5
40x5 (paused, getting a nice full chest stretch)

Pec Deck
somexalot
focused on chest stretch

NOTES: Pretty good session. Happy with the 215 PR. Feel that the strength for the 225 is there, ill put it up very soon. Decided to only try set another PR on the machine press and did just that. Everything else felt pretty solid.

Congrats on the PRs man! Gotta love hitting bench PRs! You’ll have 225 in no time.

How hard/easy was your attempt at 225? Maybe if you took bigger jumps in weight you could’ve nailed it. Regardless a PR is a PR, awesome job!

P.S. you may want to slow down, I need a chance to up my lifts just a smidgen.

Blaze, thanks man. Saw you killed it today with some sick bench PRs! Nice job man.

Probably got 225 3" off my chest. I think I was already too fatigued. Bigger jump wouldve been smart for sure. Thanks AC!

I’m not planning on slowing down sir >:P

215 bench video:

Watching the video I need to work on pressing the bar in a straight line. I get it about halfway up in a straight line, then the bar drifts back some causing me to lose my groove and have to somewhat grind the last portion of the rep out.

I know the last time I hit a bench PR, I went ahead and took bigger jumps and was noticeably less fatigued compared to how I would normally work up.

Very well then, I will be expecting 235

Thanks man! Definitely had more in me. Got some wicked callouses from earlier this morning. Went to check out a strength and conditioning place that im going to be interning at in the fall and see how they run things. They also said I could lift with them and had a workout set up for me. It consisted of trap bar deads… pic of the callous:

Nice PRs, calluses, and awesome about that internship!

Haha thanks AC! Yeah, have matching callouses on my other hand too. I am really excited about the internship, Im going to learn a ton, mostly about running my own strength and conditioning place (which is my future goal)!

That internship sounds awesome, good luck with it!

Thanks phlegms Im really excited for it.

Been a few days since I’ve trained. Moved out my dorm yesterday and drove back home. About to head to the gym in a little bit!

Need to stretch and foam roll my hamstrings and adductors. Both are tight and I think my hamstrings being tight are causing my lower back to also be tight.
