My Journey to Getting STRONG

My right shoulder started bugging me last night out of nowhere. Been icing it and stretching it, its not excrutiating pain, just an annoying twinge sometimes when i move it. Got deadlifts tomorrow (hopefully). If the shoulder isnt agreeing I’ll have to sigh bag the session and just start the deload then instead of after that session.

Just what I needed, an annoying setback. Hopefully I dont feel it during lacrosse :/[/quote]

Don’t sweat it man. My shoulders were feeling a bit weird today also.

If anything you’ll a slightly longer deload, which should most definitely yield more kick ass PRs. You’ll be more rested and be yearning even more to move some weight.

NOTES: Shitty DL day, thought I had atleast two. Awesome front squat, shoulders and triceps day. Good PRs on all. All this running in lacrosse practice is screwing my explosive power for DL’s I feel. Deload time, body is exhausted!

Still a pretty good day regardless of you feeling beat up.

Isn’t 335 a DL PR?

Haha well awesome job on the PR.

Interesting, the thought of that and the Russian squat routine has been in the back of my head for some time now.

The reason why I haven’t given either of those a try yet is because my DL/Squat hasn’t necessarily stalled. Plus they’re pretty intense haha.

Haha thanks man.

Well, I’m planning on running it using the deadlift percentages setup along with the power shrugs. I am not planning on running the assistance work, atleast right now during lacrosse season.

NOTES: Ok session. Still dont feel 100% better…got sick on friday. Meadows inspired session. Felt good but not strong.

I know how it feels to be lifting while getting over being sick. Just listen to your body and don’t push it too hard. Otherwise keep at it man!

Thanks buddy. Still feeling in the dumps a bit. Really sucks cause next thursday ill be home for spring break (no gym access). Friday im gonna try hit shoulders/back/biceps if im feeling up to it, no leg work.

Still not sure if I’m gonna go to the gym today. Pretty sure itll be a shitty session anyways. Going to the doctor today…dont feel bad persay but have a bad shortness of breath. It sucks.

Man sorry to hear you’re still sorta under the weather. Good call on getting that shortness of breath checked. Don’t push anything, better to take a step back now so you can make leaps and bounds later.

Stay strong brother!
