My Grandfather's Simple (But Profound) Statements

Profound words from a former ghetto boy with a 6th grade education:

  1. “You’re not supposed to dream.”

  2. “You don’t have to think.”

The statements relate to life - and FITNESS TOO! We’d see far more gains in gyms if people lived by these profound words.

Add other simple but profound statements here. That is, add statements that are not of the weepy, nonsensical, mushy, ambiguous, bullshit self-help nature.

truth is a pathless land

So you think most people should think LESS? I think we already have a shortage of intelligence no point killing it off entirely

He has said this when I’ve been very upset because of my expectations or outlook on the world not coming or being true.

Me (sobbing): “I thought if I did…”
Grandpa: “You don’t have to think.”

Me (sobbing): “I always wanted…”
Granpa: “Are you a dreamer? You’re not supposed to dream.”

knowledge, like engineering, how to speak your language, where your house is,…pratical knowledge is needed to function in our mechanical world. In the domain of human relation it is not. For example if you insult me or if you flatter me, why should I record it?
