There’s no doubt that was a solid lift. Good job, you’re looking good man.

You did stiff-leg it up, your legs are very tight. Try some self-myofascial release and stretching and you’ll get it up even easier next time.

Great log too![/quote]

THANKS for the words of encouragement guys! Next week is my last on cycle (12), so I’m hoping to finish with an even bigger deadlift before my PCT. I’ve been moving the family into a new place the last 4 days, so my lower back is getting some good odd-lift workouts.

T-Matt, I’ll have to do some reading up on the self-myofacial-release, but I think I’m getting some “partner-assisted” stuff right now through my grappling, lol, my legs and arms are eternally covered in tiny finger-sized bruises…

Have you been training your chest at all? Numbers as far as bench or etc?

Lol, I’m not much of a bench-presser, BUT my numbers have gone up a little bit. My previous PR was 255, and now I’m pushing 265 x 3 reps. Of course, it’d probably have helped if I benched more often than once every two weeks, lol!
But really, I HAVE to make it more of a priority in my training, it’s my weakest lift. I grew up on the olympic lifts and lots of pushups and chinups, and made the mistake of dismissing bench-presses as a “body-builder” exercise. Now I know better, most of the grapplers that overpower me on the mat have GREAT bench presses.

Heh, I clicked on “submit” when I wanted to attach a video… Anyway, so I spent the week just grappling and it was a nice change to focus on only one thing. But by this morning me and my partner were itching to get back into the weight-room.

Deadlifts. And I’m VERY happy to say that I hit my goal of 5 plates a side! It went up FAST! My friends taped it for me, so I hope the video I posted works.

Wow that looked great Jelly! I’m getting ready to start my first ever injectable, I plan on going with quads/glutes for the eod darting…test phenylprop/masteron…for a quick 3 week cycle… Looking back on your first time, is there any thing you could tell me to help ease the “jitters” of going at it the first time? What do you feel are the most important things to remember, that a noob might overlook/forget about?

If you have time to answer, that would really be great...you could pm me if you want to keep your log on track with your stuff only...

thanks bro, been watching you progress, and you look great. Fantastic work.

TB, sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I just spent the last week moving, and I didn’t have any internet.
The best advice I can give you is that injecting is way easier than it sounds on here. It’s a simple skill that you’ll pick up very quickly, and after 3 weeks of EOD shots you’ll be WAY better at it. If anything, because you’re new to it, you’ll be even more careful about following the proper routine. My first shot took me about half an hour of “fiddling-around” and making sure I hadn’t forgotten anything, now I’m in-and-out in 5 minutes.
Good luck and have fun with the cycle! I’m looking forward to seeing how Bushy’s study turns out.

Since my 7th week on, my bodyweight has stayed around a pretty solid and lean 230 lbs. while my strength has continued to go up. Normally I do ALOT of cardiovascular work throughout the week, running/sprinting/sparring/etc. which I think has kept the bloat off. However, last week while I was moving I just weight-lifted 3 times, no cardio, no other training, no dietary changes.

Friday evening I weighed 239 lbs! Anyway, this week I went back to my usual workouts and this morning I’m back to 231.
This leads me to guess that my weight gain (more fat and water) on this cycle would have been considerably more if I had JUST lifted.

Hey JR-

Have you begun the taper yet? Probably at the very beginning, somewhere in the six week leveling out period, I suppose…

I was also wondering how your dosing of your AI went. Did you end up taking .25mg of a’dex every day? Or was it enough with all your cardio to keep the bloat away?

I was only at the end of the second week when I had pretty substantial bloat. I started at .25mg a day - but my mood went to crap!! I’ve tapered back to .25mg E3D, which seems to keep me at an even kiel. Any similar issues?

This is my last week on, next week I start the taper.

Regarding the arimidex, I stayed with 0.25 mg every 3 days throughout the cycle since I wasn’t getting any bloat. And there’s been no issues with my mood, I’ve never been happier, every day is like Christmas for me right now- crazy-hard training, super-fast recovery, PR lifts, endless boners…

I did think about cutting out the arimidex since I wasn’t sure it was even doing anything for me, but I didn’t want to risk it my first time around.
I’m guessing it’s all the cardio that kept me lean, I really don’t know. Perhaps one of the vets here with a better knowledge of AAS would have an explanation.

And good luck with cycle 5.0! Let me know how it goes.

I wasn’t sure if my legs were going to be ok today since last night me and my partner spent a couple of hours doing fieldwork. Sled dragging and pushing, sprints, sledgehammer, and keg tossing, all in circuits. Our heart-rates were in the 180’s and my partner started dry-heaving, so we were having fun. Our clothes were SOAKED through, like we’d been swimming in them.

Well, I squatted 405 lbs. this morning, another PR! It went up pretty good considering I forgot all my technique when I got under it, lol! My mind went blank! My previous best was 355 so I’m in good spirits. I LOVE testosterone!
Right afterwards I got cocky and threw on 5 plates a side (495 lbs.). I went down and got stuck about 3-4 inches out of the bottom position, I wasn’t going ANYWHERE, lol! It was fun to try though.

Tomorrow is 3 hours of judo, then I’m going to rest up Sunday.

Here’s the lift.

NICE!!!

DB

Oops, I just noticed that I posted the video twice…
Thanks for the compliments guys.

Hey JR-

I’m wondering, since you’re pretty psyched about your progress, etc, on this cycle – what are your plans for your second cycle? Have you given it much thought?

I’ve done some reading and thought about it alot. My second cycle will probably go as follows,
weeks 1-3:
test enanthate- 250 mg. E3D
test propionate- 50 mg. E3D
stanazolol- 50 mg. ED
weeks 4-6:
test enanthate- 250 mg. E3D
anadrol- 25 mg. ED
weeks 7-9:
test enanthate-250 mg. E3D
(and maybe some IGF or MGF, not sure yet, haven’t researched it enough yet)

OR, I’m contemplating a test and EQ cycle, still unsure of any dosages, I need to read more.

I might be fighting in my first professional MMA bout sometime in late spring 2008 (nothing is certain yet). So I want to work on getting more STRENGTH, because I’m DONE with cutting weight down to 205. The lowest I’ve ever been was 199 (for a judo tournament) and I looked like an aids patient, with the sunken cheeks and eyes. My body just isn’t built to go below 210 lbs. I’ve got this Russian bone structure so I might as well fill it out!

Today’s my first day of PCT. It was a FANTASTIC 12 week cycle, but now I’ve got to go back to being Clark Kent, lol!

My PCT is a testosterone taper (based on Prisoner’s ideas, and Bushy’s suggestions big thanks guys). It’s going to look like this,
weeks 1-3: 100 mg.
weeks 4-5: 75 mg.
weeks 6-7: 50 mg.
week 8: 25 mg.
with 0.25 mg. EOD of Arimidex throughout. Then nolvadex for week 9 at 20 mg. ED and 10 mg. ED for week 10.

Doing good bro!! Been a good read!

Keep us informed as to your mood and how your zest for life and training go.

That is quite a long taper for 500mg a week. You ever give much thought to cutting the stasis part of the taper to 2 weeks, then reducing by 50mg a week and in your last week of shots using the nolva starting that week and continuing for the next week, for 2 weeks total? Just a thought.

I thought about it, but I decided that I didn’t want to mess with something that I don’t know enough about. If I started adjusting it too much, it would be something else. Down the road when I’ve got more experience and knowledge under my belt, I’ll be better equipped to experiment.

I WAS hoping to run some IGF/MGF with my PCT, but customs nabbed it, so the time is past. Maybe near the end?

Beast. any before and after pics?

Thanks.
No before pics, but my wife wants to take some “after” photos too. I’m more into the performance side of things. Not that I can’t appreciate all the hard work and discipline bodybuilders put into their physiques, but I don’t concern myself much with personal aesthetics. Probably because I never had the frame for it, lol (I’ve got a big skeleton, 36" waist and 9" wrists).

Maybe on Friday after I come back from the gym I’ll get my wife to take some shots.

very informative and fun to read too
