yup on the previous page.
bodyfat definitely >20%
i would ditch the “bulking” and “cutting” style… it’s severely outdated and generally does not work
it really just gives lazy people an excuse to play slapdick with their nutrition and get fat as fuck.
lee priest did not do anyone any favors with that kfc transformation lmao
Haha yeah I think I’m gonna ditch it after this. However, I do not regret my bulk and if you saw what I looked like to begin with you may be on my side. I did however take it too far
You’ve gotten some valuable input so far, so I don’t have much to add other than
Major props on actually posting decent photos that show you from all angles when you’re not pumped up and/or using favorable lighting. You seem to be honest with yourself and very self-aware at this stage. You will do well for yourself. Good luck.

Word.
Out of curiosity, what would you recommend for me immediately after my show? I’m around 177 atm 5 weeks out. My thoughts are slowly climbing back up to 190 for starters with some good ol’ carb cycling. by slowly, I mean…idk…1/2 lb a week?

ive been going for the around .5 lb a week since my show and ive been happy with that rate-- ive been finding it hard to nail that every week and some weeks ill stay the same and other weeks ill put on a bit more (when dealing with a number like .5 a lb youve got to account for some fluctuations)

If I get a stable job as planned, I’m actually gonna put my money up for Layne. As a natty, I can’t do this low carb bullshit anymore.

He knows more than 99% of the posters here about bodybuilding, so who gives a shit if he acknowledges that? He’s giving out helpful information. You can use it, or be offended because it’s not the most tactful delivery.

Man its crazy how people store Bodyfat differently on there body. OP here keeps it evenly through out his body so I mean even shirtless he doesn’t have like a hanging gut. Im jealous of people who store BF like that.
Thanks for the kind words jskrabc.
Lets not turn this into a PL vs bodybuilding thread, I respect both and I don’t see why its so hard to do so. I mean I want to get into PL’ing someday, but I’m a ways away from that with my current injuries. But here I am on the bodybuilding forum asking for help on cutting. Why? because bodybuilders know how to do it very well, just like if I needed help on bringing up my deadlift I would ask on the PL forum. Both show extreme hard work and dedication with different end goals, how can you knock that? Anyways I appreciate all the advice I got on here and would greatly appreciate any more anyone else has to offer.
Got my bf tested came in at 21%, I know you guys didn’t want to know but just in case others scanning this thread are curious. Weighed myself this morning and lost 3lbs my first week (I’m 220 right now). Just to be clear I should stay with my current caloric intake until that stops giving results correct?
Got my bf % tested two days ago, I know you guys didn’t think it was important but in case anyone scanning this thread was curious it was 21%. I weighted myself this morning and I’m down 3lbs (220 right not). Just to be clear I should stick with my current calorie intake (down 500) until I stop losing weight correct?
I keep trying to post and it isn’t working, I guess I’ll give it one more shot. My bf was 21%, I am down 3lbs after my first week of dropping calories 500 each day (3500 total for week). I should stay at this calorie intake until I stop getting results intstead of lowering again correct? Thanks
fwiw, calipers give favorable results
It was actually one of those electronic ones. I was under the impression the guy was gonna use calipers but he used that instead. I didn’t say anything though cause he went out of his way to do it.
I know those are prlly even less accurate than calipers but whatever, I just wanted a ball park anyways
