My First Comp

So it looks like i have put myself in for my first competition next Monday ( very short notice )

I was wondering is it worth taking some No x plode or pre workout supplement before hand?

Or with that is there a risk of becoming to pumped during the events to do well.

caffeine, asprin, creatine(obviously before), gatorade, some fruits and bars all you need but its up to you what ever makes you feel like you have a edge do. Half of strongman is being mentally there and if wearing a pink to to makes you mentally amped up and ready to go I reccommend it.

Just to let you all know how it went.

1st event - 70 kg log press for reps in 75 seconds = finished 4th

2nd event - 90kg farmers walk for distance i finished 6th

3rd event - 105kg stone over yoke i finished 6th

4th event - 105kg farmers → 80kg barrel load → 150kg sled pull i finished 4th

Competing is by far one of the best things i have ever taken part in and i can not wait to do it again ! finished overall 6th out of 7 which i dont think is too bad for the first comp :slight_smile:
