Hey, T-Folk.
To cut right to the chase, I'm bored off my ass. I've been doing the same "type" of workout now for 7 months, and I've had it. Yes, I've changed some exercises around, altered the rest between sets, rep speed, you name it, but it's all starting to feel the same.
Against the advice of one VERY smart and enlightened Chad Waterbury, I'm incorporating a mix of the 100 rep scheme and hypertrophy training for the next two weeks.
Here's the plan...I'm going to do 50 reps in the a.m. and 50 reps in the p.m. for my entire body on M, W, F, S.
On Tuesday I will hit the gym for hypertrophy training of chest, triceps and biceps, and therefore I will only do the 50/50 split for legs back and shoulders. On Thursday I will hit the gym for hypertrophy training of legs, back and shoulders, and I will only do the 50/50 split for chest, biceps and triceps. On Sunday I’m going to do absolutely nothing.
I really have no expectation of what's going to happen. One part of me thinks I'm going to grossly overtrain, but another part thinks that I'll see a nice jump in strength, size and stamina. Only the next two weeks will tell.
FYI, I'll be using 4-AD. Hopefully that will give me a "boost". I also plan on eating about 5000 calories per day. I'll let everyone know this all panned out after the two weeks are up.
