Well hello T-Nation,
I have been trolling this wonderful site from the beginning. Since I just finished my 7th cycle, I thought it was about time I shared my wonderful experiences with everyone.
A few years ago I had just turned 40. I was recently divorced and had lots of free time on my hands. My career was going very well and didn’t require more attention. So I consumed myself in training harder then ever before.
Oh, and of course I entered the Darkside! I had been training for over 20 years and achieved a very good level of muscle and strength. My weigh fluctuated between 250 during bulking/strength phases in Fall/Winter, down to about 225 over the Spring. Then Summer is the for enjoying yourself, training light and drinking Beer.
Since I’m not a Powerlfter I’m not going to get into training poundages, but I was one of the strongest guys in my gym. Benching over 300, squatting and deadlifting over 405 all for reps.
I had spent the last 5 years training no different then before but I basically was keeping my muscle and strength and hadn’t really changed in years. Disappointing but considering most guys in their 30’s start to deteriorate I was happy staying the same. I don’t want to get into training too much here since it’s not the point of the post. I typically have followed this approach: Mon-Legs, Tue-Chest/delts, Thur-Back, Fri Arms.
I would more often then not miss Friday and do some arms the other days. So mostly I’d say i trained 3 days per week, typically Mon/Tue/Thur. Ok enough of that let’s get to the task at hand:
*Time off between all cycles was greater then time on.
Cycle 1:
6 weeks, 20-30mg ED, Winstrol tabs
PCT: none
Side effect: LMAO (For those who don’t get it that means None)
Results: Very small increase in strength. Felt good overall. I mean I was “ON” right, LOL.
Cycle 2:
6 weeks, 20-30mg ED, Dianabol
PCT: Nolva 20 mg ED for 2 weeks
Side effect: None
Results: Very small increase in strength. Really not much was happening, LOL. Gee kinda like all the Vets on here keep saying, LOL. I was frustrated because both cycles were pretty much useless so it was time to go big!
Cycle 3:
wk 1-10: 500mg Test E
wk 1-4: 20mg ED, Dianabol
wk 8-11: 20 ED, Winstrol
PCT: Nolva 40 mg ED for 2 weeks, then 20mg ED for 2 more
Side effect: It was March so everyone kept asking me if i was going to a tanning place, LOL. I just said yes but it was the Test. I had heard this happens and it did. Frankly I looked great ![]()
Results: Finally felt more then a small increase in strength. Over all I just felt great and I was horny as hell even more then usual. Which I didn’t think was possible, LOL! Really didn’t gain a ton but didn’t lose much either so i was very happy!
Cycle 4:
wk 1-10: 1000mg Andropen/week (divided into 4 shots/wk)
PCT: Nolva 40 mg ED for 2 weeks, then 20mg ED for 2 more
Side effect: I broke out big time on my Hips and glutes. It was actually quite embarrassing! I told my girlfriend it was the summer heat. Not to mention Injecting 4 times /week was really starting to kill. To the point where I was limping around and my training was affected.
Results: What can I say I got stronger and looked better but these shots were friggin killing me. I really didn’t enjoy this cycle at all! Would never do a Test blend again. I would have been turned off the whole thing if this was my first IM cycle. However, I remembered the Test E wasn’t that bad so I tried again.
Cycle 5:
wk 1-15: 500mg Test Prop/week (divided into 5 shots/wk)
wk 1-15: 600mg EQ/week (divided into 2 shots/wk
PCT: P-22’s Test taper, Nolva 40 mg ED for 2 weeks, then 20mg ED for 2 moree
Side effect: I broke out big time on my Back and delts after 10 weeks. It was actually quite embarrassing again, LOL! Fortunately, I had a new girlfriend and told her it was stress from work, LOL. Prop Injections hurt but nothing like the Blend. FYI: The two shots topped with EQ hurt less.
Results: OK now I was getting stronger and very vascular on my arms. Although that went away after i was done. This was the first time I really felt like I was getting that Bodybuilder magazine look. I didn’t like this length though and wouldn’t do it again. The acne came after week 10, however, so did most of the gains. So I was very confused as to what to do next?
Cycle 6:
wk 1-8: 500mg Test Prop/week (divided into 5 shots/wk)
wk 1-8: 400mg EQ/week (divided into 2 shots/wk)
wk 1-8: 400mg Tren. Ace./week (divided into 4 shots/wk)
PCT: P-22’s Test taper, Nolva 40 mg ED for 2 weeks, then 20mg ED for 2 more
Side effect: Holy Sweats Batman, LOL. Night sweats? Try morning, afternoon and evening too, LMAO. I was a sweating machine. Fortunately, I had a new girlfriend and told her it was stress from work, LOL. Seriously I would never do Tren again! No acne this time though yeah!
Results: OK now I was really getting that Bodybuilder magazine look. I looked better then ever! People kept telling me how good I looked ![]()
Cycle 7:
wk 1-3: 100mg ED Anadrol
wk 4-6: 50mg ED Winstrol tabs
wk 1-6: 100mg ED Test prop)
PCT: P-22’s Test taper, Nolva 40 mg ED for 2 weeks, then 20mg ED for 2 more
Side effect: Week 3 I was feeling the bloat from the Anadrol and had that head ache coming on feeling often. I would not do Anadrol again
Results: Holy shit my strength was through the roof on this cycle. Overall an excellent short cycle. I would only do 6 weekers again.
So what can I say. I certainly found out my body doesn’t produce much estrogen as I never had any need to use an AI during cycle. Of course if I were a competitive bodybuilder I would use A-dex or such. I certainly have satisfied my curiosity and YES steroids do work.
Although, they are not the magic that everyone thinks they are. You have to use lots, train very hard and eat very good for them to work even just a little bit. But they do work!
What’s next? Honestly i am very happy with my physique and strength. So I may never do a cycle again. Umm…well…maybe I’ll try 100mg of Anavar only for 6 weeks…well maybe with a bit of Prop. If you didn’t notice I developed an affinity for Prop ![]()

BTW P-22’s taper has worked very well for me also.
