My Computer is Severly Infected

Ok so I have a severely infected computer. I dont know what I opened, but I have almost 40 viruses on my computer, will somone who is better with computers than me give m some help on how to get rid of them? Shit while writing this I had about 7 popups come onto my screen…I ask you to please help me!!

download avast… its free and doesn’t get any better then that

Avast has become fairly annoying in recent years.

I’d use ClamAV, which is free as in speech and beer, or Microsoft’s own free as in beer:

Also, quit installing programs from Russian porn sites OP.

And for fuck’s sake use Firefox instead of IE.

I had something funky on mine earlier in the year. Shit like the “X” and “Y” virus. It slowed the processor down to like I was using an old 286 computer on dial up. I tried Hijack This, Adaware which got rid of some, but not all.

I did a system restore from a point in time 2 weeks earlier and it worked like magic. Its fairly easy to do and quick, you lose no data in the deal, only the bad things that get in at the system level are removed. Do a search under *.exe and sort them by date to see what you’re dealing with first. Jot the suspicious ones down and Google them to see what they are.

Get the fuck off T-Nation.

You DoS this place and I’ll hate you forever.

download the Microsoft Security Essentials

AND

Malwarebytes

both are free and much better than Norton

  • SuperAntiSpyware

  • Norman Malware Cleaner

  • Malwarebytes

  • ClamAV

  1. Since you’re obviously a less-than-cautious computer user, I recommend partitioning about 5GB of your hard drive and installing a Linux distro on it, such as Ubuntu. That way you can download and view questionable content with abandon without having to concern yourself with the inevitable spyware hell you’ve opened.

and disinfect your keyboard, perv!

Well I downloaded some stuff from windows, and installed Firefox. so now I’m protected.

This is 2009. And Google is your friend.

All you need right there. Please don’t download “some stuff from windows”.

Follow the advice in this thread. All of the anti virus mentioned are about equal. But definitely get Spybot Search & Destroy – the second link I posted.

Another option, kind of tedious but press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and under processes see if there is anything that looks ‘suspicious’. If it does, all you have to do is type it into google and it will come up with the process and how to fix it.

Example: LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You

Only use trusted porn sites.

Jesus. Make sure to take advantage of the business offer from that brother of a deposed Nigerian prince too.

Time for a Mac.

I’ve been working on the same old G4 dual processor for nearly 10 years without a virus problem.

As the name implies, Windows, like the real thing, can be easily opened to let crap in.

lol

Same with mac… at last years hacker conference a mac was taken control of in 10 sec. No one cares about macs becasue they aren’t compatible with anything… you’re buying a useless box. Unless all you do is browse the internet a mac is pointless

This.

And when people use my comp when I’m not home and infect it, I simply reinstall the whole OS. Takes an hour (then again, I’m experienced with his shit), and you’re sure that you have all the shit off your HD. Of course I got my HD split into 2 and all my drivers backed up
Enjoy
