Muslim Sprinter from Bahrain

Seriously though, I was pleasantly surprised by the fine display of female beauty in Beijing 2008.
Is that the Chinese Equestrian Team ?

giddy up

Instead we were blessed with beauty.

Leryn Franco of Paraguay may have placed 51st overall in a field of 52 competitors at the Beijing Games in Javelin.
Obviously the phrase ‘Not much of a looker, but she sure can throw a football doesn’t apply here’.

Leryn can grip my rod anytime, Llamame hermosa.

What would you guys think if a nun had entered the race in full habit?

One less competitor to worry about for the medal…

I thought that was the official uniform of the Canadian Track Team. Even if it wasn’t, it might as well have been.

It does resemble the one we use in the winter Olympics for speed skating. Then again, your skater guys look about the same, we just don’t see them as much because the camera tends to follow the front-runners and not whoever’s bringing up the rear…

By the way, we love your new “sore loser” sorting by total number of medals, instead of by greatest number of GOLD medals… Canada is 13th by your count instead of 17th.

It’s not MY sorting method. I had nothing to do with it.

But I do think that the badminton, and synchronized diving medals should not be considered in the medal count.

Who gives a shit about how fast someone can scoot around a frozen lake on metal blades? But we have had our moments in the Winter Games. Eric Heiden, and that chick from Wisconsin kinda ruled the pond in their days.

I would have thought I was looking at the Bay To Breakers race in San Francisco. It’s a marathon run for serious runners and a chance to run or walk clad ridiculously (and sometimes not clad at all) for the rest of the population. In fact, that is what came to mind when I saw the sprinter from Bahrain.

What I do give a shit about is when an American Muslim refuses to ring up alcohol or pork, or a cab driver (Muslim) who won’t transport passengers because they are carrying the above mentioned products.
Is that common? I’ve never heard of that before.

I’d have thought - fuck - Sen is doing alright for himself.

I thought it was sad that she felt the need to cover every inch of her body due to religion. As other’s stated, can God care that much about what we wear?

On a related note: look again at her picture…it’s not like she is hiding any detail of her athletic anatomy, she’s just not showing skin.

Silly…and sad.

Take the log out of your eye before pointing to the splinter in someone elses…or something like that…

How can you be sure your view of God is correct and not understand why she would think the same about hers?

That is the sad part, that she thinks hers is correct.

Yeah…but just try explaining that to the whacko.

I’m going to try to be as PC as possible.

In this world we are so cautious as not to be offensive, when sometimes maybe it might do some good?
I mean look how we treat people on here

The fact is that women in this country and I’m sure others have fought very hard for equal rights, why is it any different because religion comes into play when women of another culture are treated with less respect.

Why should they have to wear something to cover their whole body because the men of that country/religion can’t seem to have an open mind and realize it’s not 200 A.D anymore…

Maybe I’m way off and being offensive here. I’m not trying to be disrespectful, quite the opposite.
stick to fitness information there champ, muslim women choose to wear the burkar and cover their faces and such for the simple fact that whats underneath is for their husbands eyes only, and the fact that you subliminally called muslim men backward and controlling insults me and islam was bought into this world around the 7th century not 200 a.d

may be if you aerent so ill informed via your mass media you wouldnt feel the need to offer your opinion on a topic you know nada about and furthermore cathy freeman an aborigiie sprinter from australia wore the exact same thing when she too won gold so more than anything she is honouring her god her family and using aerodynamics to win…where was your gold medal again

I’m quite well informed on the topic. Shall we discuss it?

what would you like to discuss

and my typo was meant to be aborigine sprinter from australia
