Obviously the president needs to make a statement, while the media continues to report on this for weeks.
Edit: Oh, this is a muslim doing the desecrating? Sorry, misread. Thought a non-muslim had done something offensive to muslims. Nevermind my original statement. OP, who cares? Let us know when a muslim is offended, and we’ll all aim to outdo the other in displaying outrage and hurt.
…on the sidewalk or in her face; his motivation for spitting is the same. The same goes for dancing on an altar or putting bacon on a mosque; it’s disrespect…
“The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church.”

P.S. To those who asked about the mercy thing, Pope JPII asked God to have mercy on the man that tried to assassinate him. So, not sure why I wouldn’t ask God for mercy for such offense.
Sorry, I know this is slightly tangential but this I just don’t get. If God has a course of action in mind, it’s perfect. By asking him to display mercy when he would anyway is pointless. If he wasn’t going to show mercy then that’s the right thing to do. Right? It’s not like he’s going to get a rush of blood to his head and zap someone and then say ‘oops I shouldn’t have sone that’. It’s not like the Pope would go - God can you show mercy and God go yeah you’re right I was wrong, thanks for pointing that out, nice hat.
Have you read the Old Testament?
When he claimed he “was a jealous God” He was not kidding.

Hell, a lot of folks even around here would gladly join him. Generally speaking around the world when somebody wants to desecrate, insult, complain, whine, or otherwise do wrong to Christians or Christianity, they pick Catholicism to do it to. Hell, even a lot of “Christians” like to treat Catholics like a pinata. So this is really nothing new and should be a badge of honor.
People who hate God or hate Christians start their hating on Catholics. This tells me that Catholicism is significant and people are afraid of it, though it seeks to do no harm. Jesus said we would be persecuted and so we are…Must be doing something right.

How much OT have you actually read?
Why, all of it of course.
The jealous God is right out of the ten commandments.
Makes sense though, because back then he was a god amongst many.

So I heard the kid is in the psych ward and reportedly mentally ill in some fashion. Hopefully, I can keep track of this minuscule story.

look around Chris just about everyone of the people that don’t think it’s a problem is an atheist…you can’t expect these atheists dirt balls to have any respect for any religion.

Why would he need to become Catholic? Even Pope Benedict has confirmed that non-Catholics can be saved. Indeed “Whoever seeks peace and the good of the community with a pure conscience, and keeps alive the desire for the transcendent, will be saved even if he lacks biblical faith.” Of course, many Catholics privately disagree with this. WOW is this true? If it is, then my opinion of the Catholic Church just went up five-fold. Now, who is going to tell my rosary carrying sister-in-law who believes the contrary?

You’re just mad because the Catholic Church is obvious superior to any other organization, I mean what organization has the bankroll to settle a 660 million dollar lawsuit.
