I use to train each bodypart twice a week, I like it.
But I use different exercises each time, like Monday: Bench, pecdec … Thursday: Incline,decline.
If this is better then the regular once a week, I dont know, I like booth ways. but im often curious if my muscles get enough stimulation at one workout a week to need a week to build opp again.
