Kinda. If ur asking for an exact diagnosis or structure that’s the source of symptoms I dunno. Seems to be relatively minor (though not just some soreness of the spinal erectors or something) so I’m process oriented now and looking for solutions going forward

ME Upper

Worked up to opener, 2nd attempt, then 2board 3rd
Bar JM press 3x10 ( been using these as a warmup lately )

435x1 bar got a bit wonky on me and rolled a bit in my hand but otherwise very solid
455 to a 2 board x 1, felt like absolute shit. Moved slow. Yadda yadda.

Chain floor press x hard 6, just the bar + chains, keep adding chains until it’s either hard or you’re out of chains then add straight weight.
9 chains per side + 10lbs per side

That’s who cares at the top, lol had a gnarly chest and tricep contraction.

DE Lower

SSB box squats + 25% in chain 50% bar weight 8x2
Add 20lbs each set after 4. No real reason it just felt fast.
My %s are currently based off my last meet which was 650. I’m about 100lbs past that now so if I feel really fast I’ll add some weight

DE deadlifts 10x1 70%, worked on my technique a ton and probably took too long between attempts. Around my 3rd pull my ear popped, I’ve heard ringing ever since. Had some sinus stuff going on all week so hopefully that’s all it is.

Taking advice from Marshall Johnson and trying to dial in my technique so I’m actually using the suit. Hopefully it’ll pay off by meet day, might be too soon to fix it but we’ll see.

3x20 sumo rdls + 3 chains did 135lbs, these fried my glutes, hamtrings and erectors.

GHR vs band 3 x8
tried to superset in pull throughs 3x20 but I couldn’t handle it. Got to about rep 10 each time and just ran out of energy ( even with 50lbs )

Need food and sleep.

Sunday DE Upper

6x3 speed bench 50% + 4 chains.

Felt decent enough through these.

1 board heavy set of 3 + 4 chains worked up to 245. Expected to go a bit heavier but as soon as I hit this set I felt the heaviness lol.

DB neutral grip floor press 4x8 80lbs

Neutral grip Pullups 3x 4-6
Seated close grip mag cable rows 3x10 160 or so.
Straight arm cable lat pulldowns 3x15 60lbs, these were contracting perfectly so no need to try going heavier.

Skipped training on Saturday trying to see if my ear/head would feel better, it did not.

Going to a Dr today pretty sure it’s a gnarly ear infection. Good thing I’m 4 weeks out from a meet :roll_eyes:

Thanks, started some Prednisone yesterday, it’s slowly feeling better. Just need to keep hammering some sudafed with it to get it all dried out.

Floor press to a heavy single. Worked up to 285, probably could of gone for 295 but called it quits for the day, wasn’t worth the PR. ( may of been a 5lb floor press pr at 285, not entirely sure )

DE Lower 12x2 40% + orange band buffalo box squats, these felt good

ME Pulls
Worked up to 605, 625 I couldn’t get my right hand to hold. I’ve got some positional issues to keep hammering on.

Hopefully one of these days I’ll get a deadlift number that’s higher than my RAW :stuck_out_tongue:

Speed bench 40% + doubled minis 12x3 these felt really snappy
Bench + double mini 205x5 had a big break between these and the speed bench so these felt really shitty.

DB foor press 3x15 60, 2x15 70, 1x15 75

Elbows out chest supported row 3x10 55lbs
Wide mag grip lat pulldown 3x12 160
100 reps reardelt raise

Should of done 1 more lat movement.

Overall a good session. Got a massage after, Chiro on Monday. 4 weeks out. Only 2 more heavy bench sessions, no more heavy squats or deads.

Also super bloated from the prednisone. Last dose was today, should start coming off in the next few days.

Did not do any ME lower this week. Life happened and I called an audible. I’m too close to the meet to be stupid and try to force it in.

405 opener, shitty job at touching, 435 nice and smooth, 455 2 board decent enough.

Currently have a swollen thumb so benching was interesting, didn’t do any pressing accessories.

How many lbs do you expect to get out of the suit once you dial it in?

My coach said to me the other day “You can buy a bench, you can buy a squat, but you can’t buy a deadlift!”. I guess this would be at least somewhat true, since in geared lifting people tend to squat more (sometimes quite a bit more) than they deadlift.

Your bench form looks great. I really need to work on my setup and bringing my chest up to the bar.

I watch most of your posted vids on here, and have went through a lot of your vids on IG too. I really need to sit down and create an IG account. It would probably be a much easier way to post videos than to take a video on my phone, plug it into my computer, open video file in Movie Maker, save as a YouTube video file, then upload to YouTube.

Speed squats 45% + gray bands 10x2 but I only did like 6 sets because they were super fast and I knew I didn’t have 4 more sets at that speed so I stopped while still moving fast.

Deadlifts 4x 455, then 505x1, then 555x1
These were clicking really well, techique is cleaning up nicely.
