Heads up everyone! Powder Blue came out on DVD today. Don’t know if it’s a good movie or not, and I’m not even sure I will care. The draw is Jessica Biel NAKED!

I think it got a real short run in limited release, like a week or two and then it was DVD. Even before the movie got it’s run in the theaters, they had already announced the DVD release date for just a few weeks after.
Watched it last night. Movie was boring and predicable. Kind of cliched.
The strip scene is pretty good, but she’s not naked too much in it. There aren’t any bonus features or a director’s cut. If you’ve already seen that video going around of the the strip scene, then that’s pretty much it.
Great body though!
I went old school and watched Zulu Dawn yesterday. I really like that movie. I am going to rent The Naked Prey next. That would be a good movie for them to remake.
I am also liking the True Blood series.

The Naked Prey is a great classic. One of my favorites. Zulu Dawn with a young Michael Caine was great as well.
D
My mistake on Zulu Dawn, that was Burt Lancaster and Peter O’Toole, a great movie as well. I meant Zulu, the prequel with Michael Caine, was a great one as well.

Same here. I’m four episodes in and like it so far. I just wish Blockbuster would hurry up and send me disks 3-5. They don’t even carry them in store for some reason.

OH NO!!!
I had it wrong also! I watched Zulu, I just went and checked the slip cover. haha! After The Naked Prey is Zulu Dawn. I haven’t seen that one yet.

I am only bummed that they only have 2 episodes per disk and they aren’t even an hour.

We were both fooled there for a sec! You know Zulu was made in 64 without all the high tech special effects and it was completely engrossing and dramatic. This also applies to the Naked Prey. I really believe many of the movies of the sixties and seventies had great story telling skill minus all the bang boom effects. Many of my favorites are from that time period.
Shit, I haven’t seen Zulu Dawn in years and now have an itch to see it again. I’ve always like Lancaster.
See ya at the movies!

Pretty sure disks 3 and 4 have three episodes a piece on them. This seems to be HBO’s MO though. Instead of just putting three episodes per disk and have it be a four disk set, they always manage to stretch it into five. I’m sure that allows them to jack up the cost another $15.
Damn I must be living under a rock, I haven’t even heard of Zulu Dawn. It came out in '79, I was 4 and still in Italy so I don’t feel so bad now.
Terminator Salvation - B-
Night at the Museum 2 - B-
Vanilla Sky - A- (last movie you could watch with Tom Cruise and just enjoy without thinking in the back of your mind that he might be an Alien, amazing sountrack, and Penelope Cruz looks amazing in it )
House bunny - B ( much funnier then expected)
Mamma Mia - B (Pierce cannot carry a tune in a bucket)
Five Heartbeats - A+ ( Saw this movie when I was 5 for the first time, one of my top 5 movies, Robert Townsend is a talented man, wish he would do something, I picked up this DVD and the soundtrack recently, if you’re a fan of motown, you will love this movie, if anybody remembers that Temptations bio flick that VH1 did a couple years ago, it was pretty good, and this just blows it away, although Leon played the same role in both movies basically. There are scenes in this movie that will rip your heart out though)

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past- I liked it. Worthy of going to the theater for[/quote]
I saw this over the weekend and agree. It was adorable.
Fanboys - For all the bad stuff I heard about this, I thought it was funny enough. Definitely for all the Star Wars geeks out there. Lots of cameos and Star Wars quotes.
Outlander - Started off really cool and then I thought it basically turned into a Beowulf vs. Predator knockoff. It was just okay.
Valkyrie - Didn’t mind this. I had a little trouble getting around the casting of Tom Cruise in this movie, but I thought it was good otherwise.
Powder Blue - Outside of the Jessica Biel strip scene, there really isn’t any other reason to watch this. I thought it was the same old crap.
New in Town - Not funny and extremely predictable. Pretty terrible overall. This movie shouldn’t have even been made.
Killshot - I had been looking forward to this one for a while. Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were both pretty good, but otherwise I was kind of disappointed. I just didn’t care for story too much and some of the other characters. Diane Lane is total MILF though.
T1 and T2 - Wanted to refresh before seeing Salvation. I forgot how nice Linda Hamilton’s calves are in T2.
night at the museum 2 - not bad.
black book - pretty good. not what i expected at all. i held off because i thought it would be sad. it was more action/spy/sad/interesting with an admirable heroine
Terminator Salvation
shit explodes 10/10
Taken- can’t believe I haven’t watched it till last night. Amazing movie. The main guy was a badass. Off the top of my head best movie I’ve seen this year

It had great acting. That chick who played the pop star actually came across as believable even though she was just a supporting role…which is rare for parts like that. Too bad they can’t make a sequel.
Taken 2 - This time, they stole the whole family tree?

Someone else can abduct the daughter next time. Kim Bauer manages to get in trouble in every season of 24, so why not?
