The Happening - I told my friend it was going to suck. He has a thing for M. Night Shyamalan. It was laughably bad. I’m going to give away what the attack is just so you guys know not to see it. The trees are creating poisons because they are mad about global warming!! Uh oh!! [/quote]
Ugh…are you serious?! That’s one of the worst things I’ve ever heard. Did M. Night get himself confused with Al Gore?
And thank you. I was still actually planning on seeing it, but I’m definitely not now. I might not even bother with renting it.

hope this isnt seen as hijacking the thread… but doea anyone no any decent online (read prob illegal) websites to watch movies.
I watched Glengarry Glen Ross. Awesome, best movie from the “genre” I’ve seen. The film genre I’m obviously talking about is the “bullshit-salesman” -genre. Other films of the genre that I’ve seen include Thank You For Smoking, Wall Street and Boiler Room. If I ever want to become a bullshit-salesman, Al Pacino in this film is what I’m aiming for!

Glengarry is a awesome movie! One of my favorites. Everyone in that movie is great. It’s funny you mention Boiler Room because the first time I saw it I thought to myself, “These guys are trying to ripoff Glengarry”. Later in Boiler Room though they credit Glengarry when they talked about “A.B.C.”.
I’m on-call and chained to the desk this weekend. So here’s what I watched to occupy my time:
The Grand - A mockumentary about a poker tournament. I thought this wasn’t bad. It had a good cast and there were a few moments that made me laugh.
Edit: I wanted to point out that The Grand was written and directed by Zak Penn, who also wrote The Incredible Hulk.
Funny Games - This movie was really unusual, but I found it interesting. The ending will likely piss you off, but I’m not going to spoil it for you here.
The Gravedancers - Another one of the 8 Films to Die for. This was was pretty awful. Very low budget. The kind of low budget where they just give the killer some fake teeth or a mask to wear. This would be a good movie to watch MST3K-style.
The Deaths of Ian Stone - This one was just okay. Another one of the 8 Films to Die for. Kind of an interesting story, but suffers from the usual B-movie crap.
Flawless - A terribly boring movie starring Demi Moore doing a fake British accent. I give this movie ‘the finger’.
The Other Boleyn Girl - I liked this. It really picks up towards the middle of the movie. My only complaint, this movie had both Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson in it, but the only bare chest you see belongs to Eric Bana. Not cool.
I didn’t see The Hulk yet. I promised some friends I’d wait until next week. And based on all the horrible reviews, it looks like I’ll be skipping The Happening until DVD.
its awesome. about these two irish brothers in boston who decide to go around killing all the “bad” ppl in town. billy connolly, ron jeremy and the guy that played the green goblin in spiderman are all in it!

If you are serious I hoped you walked out of the theater, punched someone in the face, and got your damn money back. That is beyond lame.
Even though I had negative free time the last 4 days I did manage to see The King of Kong. Great movie! And I officially nominate Billy Mitchell for douchebag of the century award. What a fucking prick! All his minions must suck his dick while he plays Donkey Kong.

That was definitely an interesting sub-culture and the whole Twin Galaxies posse was bizarre.
I guess the Twin Galaxies people are pissed about their portrayal in the movie and claim that Mitchell and Wiebe are on friendly terms and have played against each other many times in the past.
