Rec 2. Watched this on a recommendation in the scary movie thread. Had a couple decent scares but I really didn’t like the direction they took it in. Without spoiling the film, when you find out the nature of the virus it makes the first one seem lame.
Yeah. I was quite disappointed with Rec2. The first one was far more superior.
Aliens Versus Predator-- I mean really, how do you screw that up. Ohh make some stupid plot line and throw in a secret ice pyramid.
This could of gone in many directions.

If you mean the Nic Cage version well thats a given, It had Nic Cage in it!
so if a movie has two nic’s in it do they cancel each other out and make the movie watchable,
or twice as bad??
haha hmm defo twice as bad.
Although i do like some Cage films such as:
Con air
Face off
Leaving las vegas (was helped with nudity from Elizabeth shue)
Matchstick men
Snake eyes
so he has the ability to make good films but i guess in the last few years he just been clutching at straws to make what money he can coz he’s some crazy spending disease.
Examples:
Bangkok dangerous
Sorcerer’s apprentice
Next
Knowing
Drive angry
Iron Man 2

I wouldn’t use the word sucked in regard to iron man. I thought it was pretty good. One of the better comic book conversions i’d say.

Iron Man 1 - I agree with what you wrote, excellent movie.
Iron Man 2 - was not as good as the first one, but should have been better than the first one if done right.
Yeah, how in the hell could you fuck up The Punisher THREE TIMES!?
Cage was pretty good in The Rock too…
oh Wicker Man, I was thinking of Matchstick Men, that was a decent movie

I really liked the 2004 or whatever year it was, the one with Travolta in it.

I lol’d quite a lot at this.
YE i agree with that other guy. The rock was pretty good as well.

The first one Marvel had no control at all, the other two no R rating you need an R for characters like WOlverine, The Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, or Moon Knight these are mean nasty vigilantes.
Chronicles of Riddick, the first Pitch Black was so cool how the fugitive became the hero and the hero turned out to be not so heroic then they did that second film and it was just all look at the cool CGI. THere is a third film on the way hopefully it goes back to it’s roots

2.30 had me in fits. Hysterical. I’m almost tempted to track that movie down…almost.

It’s the wigs. You think having the most versatile scalp in Hollywood is cheap? He’s stuck in a never ending downward spiral of hairpiece addiction. He needs the wigs to make the movies and the movies to fund the wigs.
And they’re slowly eating his brain. Like in the Hair story in Body Bags where Stacy Keach has a hair transplant and the plugs turn out to be alien parasites that are slowly eating him alive…
I watched Tekken the other day. I had low expectations. The movie was way below those…
About The Wicker Man, is the original any good? It has a decent score in IMDB.

And I was just gonna say that Nic Cage has the worst hairstyles in movie history.

For me the list starts like this:
2012
Reign of fire
Funny people
Spiderman 3
Superman returns
It’s depressing to see Superman Returns on this kind of list so often. I (and a lot of people) had worked so hard on it. I obviously understand the sentiment, and sometimes agree, still depressing though…

The Cage on wigs:
“I see myself as subscribing to the Lon Chaney school, and I believe that historically stage actors have always tried to transform themselves. I don’t wear a wig in my personal life or my public life, but I like the idea of giving the audience something else to make it eclectic”.
