Ha we’ll see what he says! But I don’t like any of my fruit frigerated lol. Makes it hard to eat for me.

JM didn’t change anything this week. Only adding in kiwi instead of watermelon.

Week 1, 5/20/12 - weight: 238.0, strength is going well

Week 2, 5/27/12 - weight 235.0, Strength felt a little low, but I wasn’t able to measure my food earlier this week, so I might have cut it a little low. Had a cheat meal wednesday. Also bought smaller jeans. What fruit do you want me to switch to this week?

Week 3, 6/3/12 - weight 239.8 Strength was good this week. You know about the cheat meal. Had kiwi for fruit, added about 1/4 cup salsa to some meals. That’s all that I did this week. Clothes still fit loose.

Wait did your weight go up almost 5lbs this week?

Looking very lean across the waist man. Damn the waist is looking very small. I can see your hip bones poking out

Yeah it did. But like I told meadows, I had a small cheat meal, he was ok with that. And added in a little salsa and a few diet cokes. Nothing that would normally account for the 5lb increase. Probably just water. I’m wondering if I need to build thicker abs. You’re right those are my hip bones. It’s hard to the touch there and although it’s hard to see in the photo I have veins going across them also. They sometimes get bruised if I wear my belt too low.

I’m thinking that thicker abs might fill out my midsection more. I’m not entirely sure though. I feel like if I got lean enough to see full abs my pelvic bones would look like I had anorexia haha.

I have the same problem. Very shallow abs. Means i need to be pretty lean to have an alright 6 pack. i Have really been wokring on them even though i hate it. It does help. I need direct ab work. Some people dont. Mine just are genetically shallow. Oh well. Doesnt help i sotre all of my fat right around my navel FML

Yeah as you already know I store mine on the back side. Maybe some oblique work could help my problem? I hate direct ab work too. Even a modest amount will leave me sore for almost 4 days. It sucks.

Lol if you did ab training more often they wouldnt stay that sore that long  just like any other muscle group the DOMS gets better the more often you train it.

I wouldnt do a ton of obliques you dont want those things wide. It will take away from the V taper. I would go more just reverse type crunches and heavy weighted normal crunches

I’ll take the v taper as long as it doesn’t look like my waist came out of a concentration camp lol

Meadows was a tad stumped that I gained the weight back with the calories staying the same. Anyways, he’s keeping things the same since we talked about it and have concluded that I do look leaner this week. Also adding papaya in as the fruit this week.

and I can keep eating salsa lol.

This is an interesting thread for me because I’m curious as to how Meadows sets up stuff nutrition-wise. How many meals does he have you eat? Does put carbs around peri-workout only and the rest P+F, or kind of divvy up the carbs meal by meal (i.e. 50g carbs breakfast, 50g carbs dinner, etc)? Thx.

Sioux,
do u supplement with Zinc/Mag ?

Great progress! waist definitely looks slimmer.

Siouxfan, I am not trying to hijack your forum. I am looking forward to following your progress. I have been working with JM for about a year now and he has taken me from 11%bf down to 7.7%bf while my strength and weight have remained about the same. The knowledge that john brings to the table is second to none in my opinion.

My advice would be to stick with the plan as exact as possible. While still leaning out some, I have a cheat meal after leg day and a high carb meal (read gluten free pancakes with syrup, brown rice pasta, cereal, etc) after my back day. These two meals were added once I hit about 8.5%.

You’ll get there with hard work. I’d also be happy to answer any of your questions about my progress, etc. Best of luck and keep spilling!

Awesome! I’ve been following his plan as written. Once in a while If I have some extra rice I might eat that instead of oats for a meal, but that’s about as crazy as I get lol.

Right now on training days I have a half cup of oats pre workout, and the rest of my carbs come post workout. I also have fruit, and a honey sandwich as a sweeter carb. On the non training days the carbs come in at at meal 3 and are just rice or oats.

Right now it’s 6 meals a day. I had him set it up so it’s about 50% shakes 50% meals.

Funny you should mention that. I just received my bottles of ZMA, and I’ve been taking it for a couple days lol. Why do you ask?

He didn’t no. I just bought the Biotest ZMA on my own and I’m taking their recommended dose. Just 3 pills right before bed. I specifically asked JM to keep the plan as simple as possible until I get my career started and can afford the cool shit like the grass fed animals, organic stuff, better proteins etc.

how much does jm charge?
