Most Powerful Superhero of All Time?

Actually come to think of it, why has no one even mentioned Superboy-Prime? The guy pretty successfully took on the entire JLA, Supermen of various earths, the entire Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro Corps, smacks the Anti-Monitor, bitch slaps Black Adam, etc. Give the guy some credit.

Because he was a villain, this thread is about superheroes.

Red Hulk isn’t a superhero, but he was mentioned.

If you want to get technical, the Hulk isn’t really a good guy at all. Banner only seems to get pissed when bad guys are around; the Hulk smashes regardless of what’s around.

I think only a picture of him was shown. He is a hero now too, Steve Rogers and Bruce Banner are working with him to ready him for field work. Regardless the thread is relating to superheroes.

*The Plutonian, from Incorruptible, can move in and out of black holes when in the middle of a delusion, completely cut-off from outside stimuli. There is apparently no Kryptonite analogue in his world, and the only material implied to be able to hurt him is the wax of a magic candle created specifically as a curse on him. Also, possibly a material from an alien world may be something of a problem, but I might be reading more into the two frames it was shown in than was intended.

The Plutonian, for the record, is Superman if he grew up with bad parents.
You seriously didn’t mention Thor? Not even SkyFather Thor? Really? If you got the list from some website, fuck that website.

If you made it, Fuck you, Vash. I expected better.
Agreed Rune King Thor, Chaos War Hercules, Wally West, Hand of God Ion (Green Lantern Kyle Rayner), Kal Kent, Thought Robot Superman, Classic Dr Strange, Silver Age Dr Fate and many others should be on that list.

Franklin Richards and current Surfer are beasts though.
Damn straight. Vash, WTF?!

I know this thread is about super heroes but i thought i would chime in with some extra info.

There is a rating system for mutants/heroes, etc that works well over all of the different comics. Most people cant ever agree on who is the best or most badass but they can narrow it down. There has been threads like this since the start of the internet. There is also a lot of good info on this at Marvel Wiki. You can throw these terms all into the same category: Mutants, Super Heroes, Super Villans, Demi-Gods, etc

Basically you have 5 levels.

1 = Weakest, 1 very small change or difference.
2 = Slight-Moderate change from human, should have noticeable mutant like aspects
3 = Average Mutant
4 = Super mutants, very strong, can easily destroy other mutants and do incredible amount of damage.
5 = Omega level mutants, world builder/destroyers, omnipotent/omniscience, matter manipulators.

Someone mentioned wolverine earlier. He is an example of a lvl 2/3 mutant. His powers are only enhance regeneration and animal like senses. (smell, etc.) He also possess higher than normal strength. His adamantium skeleton was installed by the government and is not classified as a mutant power. His powers are really small scale in the order of mutants but not bottom of the barrel.

Hulk Vs Superman was mentioned earlier as well. That has always been a classic struggle. The problem with this is that Earlier Superman was created almost god like and didnt really have any restrictions. Since the 1980s he has been toned down and has clear limits to his powers now. With that said, hulk on the other hand has been ramped up in powers ever since his creation. One of the things about hulk is that he has no ceiling on how strong or powerful he can become. We only know that the more angry he gets the stronger/tougher he gets. He also doesnt need to breathe in space as demonstrated in many comics. Hulk is classified as a lvl 4 mutant. So is superman.

Examples of the baddest of the bad in all of the comic universes: ( im sure im leaving out many, but these are some i can remember from previously looking.)

The Beyonder
The Living Tribunal
Hyperstorm
Franklin Richards
The Scarlet Witch
Cable
ice man
Kid Omega
Rachel Summers
Jean Grey (Phoenix)
Any of the Phoenix order (from which the phoenix that possessed jean grey, comes from)
The celestial beings
Galactus

Ice man on par with Galactus and Franklin Richards?? lolz marvel must have ramped up his abilities for the fanboys. Oh well.

Also, Cable?? Really??

Iceman isn’t near those guys but he is very powerful. He is pretty much impossible to destroy/kill and can use his powers in liquid/gas form. He also has total control over temperatures eg he can stop fire manipulators using their powers.

Cable at his most powerful is in or around Silver Surfers level.

Iceman powers has been restricted by Professor X and by Iceman himself for decades. He was once possessed by Emma Frost and she used all his powers to their full capacity. When she did that Iceman was God like because he has the ability to control water at it’s molecular level.

I forgot what Cable’s powers were but I do remember them classifying him as an omega level mutant.

Well Eternity>Galactus
and
Nate Gray XMAN over Cable

No shit? Huh… I didn’t know that. It’s hard to think of Iceman as powerful as the others.

Edit: I did reference via Wiki, just for verification.

Cable’s abilities are: Telepathy
Telekinesis : (Which he has to use to keep the tchno-virus from taking over his body and killing him.)
Technopathy
Enhanced physical attributes
Expert marksman and hand-to-hand fighter

I have a hard time putting him as the same class as the others, also.

The thing with Cable is for the vast majority of his stories his powers where greatly dampened. His full potential was never shown IIRC. Though I do remember a storyline where he was simultaneously supporting an island in mid air and fighting the Silver Surfer. Don’t remember the story-arc though unfortunately.

Cable is more of a “potential power”, wich is shown quite well with his other version of himself, X-Man.

what about green lantern (kyle rayner) when he became ion? Instead of making constructs like regular green lanterns can, he could make actual objects. for example he could use his ring to create kryptonite if he was fighting superman, not just create a construct of it
