Surely this one deserves a mention:

IronHell, i was waiting for someone to say Last Samuri very badass. I have studied Bujikan for the last 5 years (ninjutsu, but here in the states its a flawed version of the nine schools of the bujikan) But a movie i can watch every week…We Were Soldiers, one of the best ever.
Also
Recruit
House of Sand and Fog
American Outlaws
Tiger land
Man on Fire

Scarface was definitely over looked and should have been mentioned earlier. Scorsese didn’t have anything to do with the movie. It was written by Oliver Stone and directed by Brian DePalma. I heard Scorsese receive credit for this film numerous times.
After recommendations from many of you I watched “Boondock Saints.” Great movie!
I and many of my scarface affecianado’s have always been under the impression that Scoresse actually came up with the idea for the movie, began initial sketch’s, but couldn’t get a studio to fund it. Along comes a fresh writer in Oliver Stone, changed a few things, created a brilliant casting call, and the rest is history. Next time i watch ill be on the lookout, but im almost positive Scoresse receives a credit in the movie.
But then again i could be wrong… =)
I cant believe noone mentioned “Shogun Assasin”. It is a kickass movie. It is Louie’s Simmons favorite movie as well.

“Never Forget, Never Again” is a video and song dedicated to those who perished on 9/11 and to those who fight to defend our freedom.
This video was inspired by their memory and Daryl Worley’s song “Have You Forgotten?” This video and website are non-profit and were created to inspire, educate and remind all Americans what we lost on 9/11 and why we fight today. God Bless America.
Here are some more I haven’t seen on this list yet-
Boogie Nights
Trading Places
Silverado
Bull Durham
Minority Report
Raging Bull
Zoolander
Animal House
Jaws
Young Frankenstein
Three Kings
Blazing Saddles
QUALITY/FANTASY: ALL OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIES- the best of all time
ROMANCE/CHICK FLICK: THE SAINT- the ultimate chick flick fantasy-intrugue-euro-romance-ValKilmergirliewetdream
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST- the cartoon prince in the end is a hunk!!
DRIPFEST: TANGO AND CASH- they’re the girls’ version of “Ginger, or Mary Ann?”
FUN/ACTION: ANYTHING Jackie Chan; CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER
PSYCHO: UNLAWFUL ENTRY- Ray Liota scared the cr*p out of me, AND made me feel warm inside at the same time…help I’m so confused!
TOUGH-GUY MOVIE: GOODFELLAS- in my opinion Ray Liota is overlooked as a great actor, up there with DeNiro in terms of talent
SCARFACE
GODFATHER MOVIES
FEEL-GOOD: KINDERGARTEN COP, REGARDING HENRY
CHEESY: FOOTLOOSE, FLASHDANCE, DIRTY DANCING, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, URBAN COWBOY
HORROR: Anybody else hate horror movies? I still get nightmares from watching PARTS of Hellraiser, especially the part the guy was hanging on hooks by his skin, the guy got his soul sucked out of him, and that pinhead guy. Have never slept with the lamp off ever since, the pinhead or soulsucker guy might be in the dark. Forget about the new Exorcist movie. I also feel horror movies can give already crazy people ideas.

LOL. I love Horror movies, is anyone else looking forward to the new Day Of The Dead movie?
Apocalypse Now - Not Apocolype Now Redux, Redux sucks!
The Shining- beautiful cinematography, perfect soundtrack, scary as hell
Fargo
Oh Brother Where Art Thou
The Big Lebowski
Taxi Driver
Goodfellas - great performances from all the actors. What happened to Ray Liotta? Held his own with DeNiro and Pesci in such a great movie and then he never did anything else worth the price of a video rental.
Casino- sort of a Goodfellas part 2
City of God
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Amores Perros- one of the greatest opening scenes in film
Ichi the Killer - Maybe the best comic book movie ever. Memorable performance by Tadanobu Asano as Kakihara, a masochistic Yakuza. I haven’t seen the animated film.
Visitor Q - Takashi Miike throws out a whole basket full of taboo; incest, murder, rape, prostitution, bullying, mother abuse, heroin addiction, necrophilia and breast milk . Sick as hell, but hilarious.

Dude, you ressurected a 4 year old thread, just to ask if anyone was looking forward to the new DOTD film?
Bushy
I was just looking through the old threads and stumbled across this.
What can I say i’m really looking forward to that film.
And i’m kinda putting off revising for my maths & statistics exams too.

Pulp Fiction
Requiem for a Dream
Donnie Darko
Being John Malkovich
Dazed and Confused
and of course…
The Lion King
But then there’s also all the crazy foreign or underground horror movies, Cannibal Holocaust, Salo, etc. None of which are my favorites, but are certainly memorable for a few different reasons haha.
I am not gonna repeat a lot, but one of the most memorable:
Dumb and Dumber
Why? One of the first movies I saw in the Unites States and in english.
Commando
Rambo: First Blood Pt II
Predator
Terminator 2
Braveheart
Hush (saw this with my girl on our first date 10 years ago)
Wild Things
Jurassic Park
The Matrix
The Count of Monte Cristo
Snatch
Pulp Fiction
Nightmare on Elm Street 3
Batman (Michael Keaton original)
Lethal Weapon 2
Full Metal Jacket
It’s funny, if I think of a movie, I can remember exactly where I watched it and who I saw it with, and my girl can’t remember if she’s even seen a movie or not after sitting through 20 minutes of it.
ok since we are apparently ressurecting this thread…
there will be blood
shaun of the dead
fight club
american psycho
the matrix(the fist one, the others were good but the first one was just…amazing)
swingers
lost in translation
Pollock. I’ve seen it 6 times. I’m an artist so that film hits home.
Fight Club
Gladiator
The Passion
Shawshank Redemption
too many more to post
