Most Intimidating Athlete

They SIGNED a privacy agreement. They broke it hence the lawsuit. Their fault.

He “blow’s off” fans when he’s playing the actual tournament. He takes care of the fans Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. When its tournament time he’s all business.

Not a fan of golf and I think Woods is kind of a jerk but he certainly is intimidating to his competition.

A jerk? WTH?!? I think he’s one of the few athletes that someone cannot say that about.

He is an arrogant lawsuit happy jerk.

I have not heard any ever say he was a decent guy.

He is always portrayed as a jerk in the media from his dealings with his fans, his caddy etc.

Who has he sued? I hope you’re not referring to the fake photos of his wife during the Ryder cup. He hasnt sued for that. You fault him for coming out and defending his wife?

The fans love him, thats why the PGA tour is playing ungodly money.

I have never seen him potrayed as a jerk. When he’s between the ropes dont fuck with him, thats his job, simple as that. I’ve seen him numerous times. You really dont know what he goes through on a daily basis at tournaments. Its ridiculous.

He just opened the Tiger Woods Learning Center (school) in California. He does an incredible amount for kids. More than any other athlete that I have been alive for.

Me thinks you are reading the wrong articles or something.

He acts like a competitor, you mean.

As for the boat company suit, wouldn’t you? I’m sure the boat company got a bunch of new clients thanks to their advertising that they made Tiger’s boat. He didn’t get any compensation from that so I think he had every right to file a suit.

Zap, just stop… You’re sounding more and more like a jealous teenager.

Foreman vs Frazier was the most horrendous beating of a boxing champion ever I truly believe. George was a bad, bad man. There are videos around of him hitting the heavy bag back in the day, and it looks like he’s cratering it with a sledgehammer.

He didn’t even ask them to stop. He launched a full blown lawsuit. Jerks sue first and ask questions later.

Many other golfers do not blow off fans during the tournament. He has them removed if they talk to him. His caddy throws their cameras in the water.

I cannot believe we are pretending he does not act like a jerk.

LMFAO! Why should he tell them to STOP when the SIGNED a privacy agreement?

Tiger has NOT asked for someone to be removed. He’s not Davis Love. You should hear some of the shit that gets tossed at Tiger when he plays. There are assholes that are drunk and go waaaaaay over the line.

Are you on drugs today?

You are showing WAAAYYYYY more love for Tiger than you ever have shown for Selma or Jessica. I think you have man love/lust for Tiger. De Veras?

AMEN

nothing againsn’t you PGA but i would assume your heavily biased in your opinion of a great athlete, based of your display picture. to each his own, but to me i would much rather be a Mariuz, Arnold, Dempsey or a whole sleu of other “athletes”

That being said, i dont think the “intimidation” that this topic started from has so much to do with them as an athlete, but just that they were born with the charisma to be a great salesperson. which is what they are, they are selling their talents, personality etc in return for a fat paycheck. Fair game.

But Tiger considered one of the greatest athletes EVER? not in my book.

Zap, I follow the game as close as anyone and I have never heard of him having a fan removed unless they became a problem.

I’ve heard some shit said to him that goes well beyond the scope of golf. He just ignored it and did what he ahd to do.

He does over react sometimes when a camera goes off. He usually gives someone one chance. The idiot that got his camera thrown in the water did it numerous times. If you’ve ever played golf you know what a camera going off in your downswing can do. I would rather have constant chatter and noise and so would the pros but thats not what happens.

If someone bagged on those two I would get all my guns blazin’! They never do. I dont think anybody can say anything bad about those two.

Idk when i was about 10 i saw a picture of Jason Giambi in sports illustrated…i wouldnt wanna see him in a dark alley

Other golfers who are nice and accomodating to fans also fucking lose tournaments by the truckload.

Last I remember this thread was about intimidating athletes, not which athlete is approachable…

Castle, this thread isn’t about great athletes, it’s about indimidating athletes.

and,

Intimidation = Charisma and salesmanship??

What the fuck? Those two things no way coincide with another… I think you need to re-read the definition.

The girl who sold me my Tahoe was a charismatic salesperson, but in no way was she intimidating…

B.

I didn’t realize that Tiger Woods was the most polarizing figure in sports. Seems like a damn good guy to me.

I already said he is an intimidating athlete in his field.

Being a jerk and being intimidating can often go hand in hand.

Was she hot?

But on July 4, 1919, under the broiling sun in Toledo, Ohio, Dempsey broke Willard’s jaw with one of his first punches, a devastating left hook. He knocked him down seven times in the first round and walloped him for two more rounds. Besides the broken jaw, Willard had four teeth missing, his eyes were closed, his nose was smashed and two ribs were cracked when he didn’t come out for the fourth round.”

Jess wasn’t the greatest boxer ever, but he really had balls to keep fighting with all those injuries. I wouldn’t have gotten up for the second round.

No disrepect, but I don’t think your book is going to get published.

Anyone with the genetic gift of Tiger’s coordination when coupled with the drive and mental toughness that he posesses, has the ability to excel in more than one athletic field, imo, whether it’s Pele, Jim Thorpe, Jim Brown, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, etc.
