But as for that kick, pretty sick, I’m just surprised he landed it. Other guy wasn’t even paying attention, obviously, he was looking at somebody else.

I think this is staged.
The male executing the kick is pretty far away from the person he is attacking. Also, the camera angle intentionally blocks you from seeing the kick land.
