Thank you. They’ve had one of the worst “evolutions” in history.

Yeah, you guys have listed some pretty horrible bands, but you gotta agree that among the WORST are the following:
Bel Biv Devo (sp?)
New Edition
How old are you? New Edition came out in 1982. Their music might sound corny now but they were a decent band for their time. Unless your over 25 and grew up listening to them or R’n’B and I don’t think it’s fair to call them the worst.
Bell Biv Devoe had some decent songs but they were short lived.
Most new stuff on the radio sucks now-a-days. People are becoming unoriginal.
I also really hate rap…I just can’t stand it.
To each their own though.
I pretty much despise most music made since the late 90’s. Music sounds so phony and pretentious nowadays, it seems musicians are trying too hard to conform to their genre. In particular I despise almost all commericial rap/hip-hop and “hard” metal.

I agree with you on most of these, but how in the hell did GodSmack get coupled in with the likes of these fellas.
Personal taste I guess, I’m just bitter about all of the grunge immitators mucking it up.
#1 OF ALL TIME Black Eyed Peas
The others-
Fallout Boy
Pussycat Dolls
Any boy band
Spice Girls (i wanted to hit it not hear them sing)
B2K (dollar menu at burger king?)
Eve 6
Creed
TLC
Destinys Child
Bare Naked Ladies
Blue October sucks also
Biggest flop band in history… Sev
what’s wrong with fuel? their singer can actually sing, they write good guitar solos, and they are decent lyricists. also, they sound as good live as they do in the studio which is pretty rare. maybe their new stuff isn’t as good but their first album sunburn rocked my face off. literally.
someone else added van halen, why? i agree if you mean their lyrics are lame but you can say that about most classic rock bands. in terms of musicianship, i doubt any modern act could come close to VH. besides, david lee roth is much too beautiful to write crappy music. he is art in motion, it’s like he’s performing just for me on stage…and he is.
okay the list must go on.
any type of ska music- self-explanatory.
indie rock-boring, depressing, makes me want to soak myself in gasoline, light myself on fire, and run out of the gym screaming. and i have…
coheed and cambria-mentioned earlier but the suckage is enough to deserve another message. i call them “punk-Rush” because the singer sounds like a chick but instead of being an 80s prog rock band, it’s punk. this music is guarrenteed to turn any hardcore weightlifter into a lisping homosexual in seconds. watch out for it…

Furthermore these are all bands that are more or less quite recent. Emo started in the late 80’s with Minor THreat and Rites of Spring.

Sorry man, but Minor Threat was hardcore punk. They started the straightedge movement. Plus, they were disbanded by 1983. They had nothing to do with the spawn of the shitty excuse for music that is emo.

Nickelback, Creed, and Rush.
Rush? You need to reassess.
Haha, never thought that I’d see Minor Threat labeled as emo. You do get some numbskulls that try and label Fugazi as the originators of the emo sound. Too often, trying to label or classify music is a pitfall in itself. Ian Mackaye himself has tried to remove himself from the straight edge label as it wasn’t his intention to start some movement. Ehhhh, but I’m rambling.
Besides, isn’t EVERY band beneath Motorhead?

“We used to blame our low record sales on music critics slamming us or thinking that most people aren’t intelligent enough to appreciate us,” said the band’s bassist, Geddy Lee. “Instead, we’ve come to realize that the problem all along has been our shitty music.”

I could see where you would think Metallica sold out, but In Flames and Arch Enemy? HOw? What could you base that on? Angela Gossow still sounds awesome and the band still kicks your ass.
ANyone from the 80’s should kick your ass for saying that Rush sucks. I could give a shit what Lee reportedly said. Neil Perth is a drummer’s drummer. A fucking God in my book. Getty Lee is just jealous because no one remembers his name - only his crappy vocals. But Rush Rules.
My bad with Minor Threat. I was thinking of McKaye’s later band, Embrace. Either way, Rites of Spring was essentially the first true “emo” band.
But, the point was that DMB and Modest Mouse are not emo, nowhere near emo, and saying so is dumber than me saying Minor THreat started emo.
There are quite a few bands I dislike, but only one I hate.
That band would be Creed.
All Southern hip hop…for that matter all hip hop where the lyrics focus on rims, bitches, gold teef, or “how crunk you goin’ git”.
definately black eyed pees, fallout boy, hawthorne heights, and any of that other emo shit
