More Trouble Than I Am Worth: Chaos Is The Plan (T3hPwnisher Log)

@antiquity I attribute my “never warm up” strategy to my success in not having that happen with ABCs, haha. But I’m still pretty certain Dan is pulling our legs with 30 in 5 minutes. But it HAS been a great challenge, and I’m considering swapping my daily tabata front squats with a daily 5 minutes of ABCs instead. Or maybe alternate between the two. Speaking of…

Took the dog for a 2 mile walk, came home and got in my front squats.

AM WORKOUT (0400 wake up via alarm) FASTED

69 Armor Building Complexes w/24kg bells in 37 minutes

POST WORKOUT SHAKE

50 burpee chins in 8:30

50 band pull aparts.

Notes: Goal was 100, but tore my hand on the 69th, and today is a day I’ll be out shaking hands amazingly enough, so killed it there. 100 is definitely in me: just need to be better prepared for it. This was a fantastic form of misery, and I ended up with 138 cleans, 69 presses and 207 front squats. Not a bad morning at all. Definitely hurting come time for those burpee chins though.

Schedule still crazy with family in town. Getting done what I can.

Crazy number. I’ve never gone past 30 (yet) and know how the fatigue builds up like crazy as the numbers climb. Can’t believe you did burpees and chins after that torture.

Thanks man! The fatigue build up is wild. Definitely death by a thousand cuts. And I needed to make up for not getting that hundred! Haha.

Got in tabata front squats and then also got in some tabata clusters later. Found out my old 80s style weight lifting gloves work real well with the bells. I got a future yet!

Combined with Poundstone curls, I’m convinced you need nothing else for biceps development.

@kdjohn That’s a brutal combination if nothing else! I’m becoming a big KB fanboy. I should probably actually learn how to use them, haha. On that note…

Slept until 0650 and hit a fasted workout of 25 ABCs with 47.5lbs in 5 minutes. Went 40 seconds on/10 seconds off for 6 rounds. 4 per round in the first 5, 5 in the final round. Great start to the day.

Everything is ad hoc, but something like that is enough for me to feel “accomplished” for the day.

Got 101 ABCs in under 50 minutes

So that’s 126 of them total today. That seems like enough.

Think you’ve built yourself some “heavy armor” at this point

So much armor that he’s suited for battle. I think this man is a one-man army.

For linguistically frugal; a berserker.

Yeah, I guess. Everyone needs an easy rest day now and then.

What’s really funny to me is that T3hPwnisher does 25 of them earlier in the day and writes that’s enough to feel “accomplished” for the day… only to follow it later in the day with another 101, then writes something very similar.

I think if he had more than 24hr in a day then he’s just keep doing something every time he has free time.

@heretolog Just need to get me them crimson bands of Cyttorak. Feeling like this though

@tlgains But I brought enough for everyone! Haha.

@mr.v3lv3t Always the goal, although they tended to be bare of shirt, haha.

@antiquity Those are my weighted vest days, haha.

@magick Gotta strike those target of opportunities! Family in town all kind of settled in for some naps after an afternoon of high activities and I saw I had a chance. Life will provide downtime on it’s own, haha.

And that, I wish, was the origin of “suns out, guns out”.

That’s just insane, serious kudos. Just started doing these in the last couple of weeks after seeing your regular use of them and can see why you run them so much, gonna have to throw an extended one in to see how I fare.

@aholding88 Thanks man! In truth, it was a challenge over on reddit that got me back into these, but I’ve grown to appreciate them. I still like clusters for “bang for your buck”, but there’s a nice simple brutal logic to this. Excited for you to get after it.

Slept off and on until 0645 and got in 50 burpee chins in 5:55, fasted. Let’s see how the day unfolds.

I think he’s built some Ankheg Plate Armour at this point.

@dagill2 Fantastic reference! Definitely gotta earn that armor.

Got in tabata front squats with 24kg bells. Went 10s across until I couldn’t. Later, did 5 minutes of ABCs with 24s and managed 22. Not a bad showing. Mowed the lawn to seal the day. Feeling deadlifts tomorrow.

CONDITIONING

15 Buffalo Bar Squats w/230-15 chins-15 dips-15 Buffalo Bar Squats

Notes: Gather ‘round children, as I tell you a story about the Deepest of Waters…

Over the past 3 days, I have performed 217 Amor Building Complexes, the majority of which performed with 24kg bells. I have performed Tabata KB front squats daily. I tore a chunk off my right hand and glued it back together so I could get in 50 burpee chins, and then got in 50 more the next day. I have been undereating, underhydrating, undersleeping. It was a prime day for the hardest deadlift workout of my life.

I rested 4 minute between sets, minus the final set, which I granted myself a 5 minute rest. The first 2 sets felt decent. After that, I knew I was in trouble, and my original plan of 7x12 and then gut out 16 was going to take a hit and need revising. Chaos is the plan. I just kept grinding out sets, hoping my hand would hold together, scrapping the ever loving f**k out of my shins even through the sweatpants (which now have a lovely bloodstain around the knee).

On set 7, I got through 9 reps before I had to set the bar down (I pull touch and go because it’s harder). I gathered myself and got out 4 more to make up for some previous efforts.

I steeled myself for that final set…and got 8. I needed 18. So I settled in, stayed strapped to the bar, and “ate my vegetables”. No leaving the table until I was done. Shook out to 2 triples and a 4 to get me 10 more reps. Just gather myself, break the bar, get the reps, die, become reborn, and repeat.

When it was done and I came upstairs to take my shower, I had discovered I had blown out all the blood vessels around the edge of my eyes such that it looked like I was wearing a raccoon mask. My forehead is a lovely splotch of red as well. And for some reason my forearms have broken out into a rash, and ANYWHERE that I had the slightest of open wound has pushed blood through the surface.

No matter how “easy” this program gets, it will always be transformative.

The “box jumps” at the end were purely just hanging on, and my time was closing out when conditioning happened. I still got in what I needed, and intend to still do either tabata squats or ABCs later today.

My week gets crazy from here, with some travel, but I’m so glad I got this workout in. This is the one that matters.
