Watched “Avatar”- it sucked. Be honest people. Visually it was cool, but it was way too long and predictable.
“Who Framed Roger Rabbit”- I forgot how great this movie is. It is worth another watch.

Doomsday - Rhona Mitra (schwing!) stars in a semi-post-apocalyptic action movie that plays like the bastard child of 28 Days Later and Resident Evil.
More of a RE type flick, but still quite enjoyable if that’s the type of movie you’re into. I personally think they coulda done more with it (started off quite strong IMO and slowly lost traction from there on out) and, while they clearly left room for a sequel, if there isn’t at least any buzz about it by now (I believe it’s a 2008 release and don’t believe it was a particularly successful one at that) then it probably isn’t gonna go down.
Highlight? The black guy does a little but more than just warn the white folks that there’s danger afoot by getting himself killed.
Back to the Future. Movie takes place in 2015, weird to think they go only 4 years into the future ahead of us.

I saw this at the Cinema. It was like a mix of Escape from New York and Mad Max. Rhona was HOT and I liked her character as a killer. Black dude was cool…until he died. The crazy cannibal chicks were hot too.
I enjoyed it.
I saw The Town last night. It was pretty good I guess. I’ve seen Heat and I’ve seen The Departed, so I felt like I’d already seen The Town before. It wasn’t nearly as good as those two, but it was entertaining. I wish they had less of the love story and more of Rebecca Hall looking dirty and horny.
I also saw Wall Street 2 last night. Fucking horrible. Michael Douglas has lost it, Shia LeBouf is a total fag, the chick who plays his girlfriend looks like she’s in the early stages of severe Bell’s Palsy and Josh Brolin is so good-looking that every time he was on the screen I was filled with a jealous rage at the thought of him climbing up on top of Diane Lane and banging her into oblivion.
And the ending was horrible. Like I’m supposed to believe that after all the shit that Gekko put his daughter through, after she refused to see him and THEN he steals $100 million from her, after he used and corrupted her fiance that she’s going to let him back into her life? Just because she’s pregnant? If she was smart, she would have kept her grandson the fuck away from that monster as well.
Hey Wol Barrett! Who are those two chicks in your avatar? I recognize them, in fact I recognize that particular scene, but I can’t remember the names. I want something new to jerk it to.
Saw Black Swan the other day. One of the weirdest/most fucked up movies i’ve seen in awhile. definitly worth it
the town— ehh been there done that
the other guys—im a fan of ferrell not one of his better ones
easy a----wasnt bad, wasnt good either

did not like. people i know who are big into art really dug this movie. to me it was strange and confusing. my mind does not work like that.
I’m currently on a Jericho marathon. First time watching the series.
The Road - about a man (Viggo Mortenson) and his son trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
A pretty powerful movie at times and does a nice job of illustrating the bleakness of what the world could turn to if civilization as we know it collapsed (hint: not as glamorous as our Zombie Survival threads would make it seem). With the main threat being marauding bands of cannibals (visually, doesn’t leave much to the imagination besides the actual consumption of flesh) and only two bullets left in their gun (for either self-defense or…), the movie does a pretty nice job providing a (seemingly) realistic view of how things would play out if the world ended.
A decent movie overall, pretty powerful at times. The visual representation of the world was pretty much gray piled on more gray and was pulled of really well. Viggo, as usual, does a fine job, but overall I’d like to think they could have done a bit more with it (especially the ending). Nevertheless, a decent movie to watch if you’re in the mood for a downer.
Brooklyn’s Finest - 3 separate story arcs, one following an undercover cop who is starting to lose his grip (Don Cheadle), another following a desperate detective who’s struggling to support his huge family on a cop’s salary (Ethan Hawke), and the last following a nearly retired patrol officer that is completely burnt out and just doesn’t give a fuck about being a hero any more.
I thought this movie was excellent. It was a bit of a downer, but stuff like this (drugs and inner city problems) is so far off my compass that it barely even seems like it could be real. Each story arc was completely owned by the lead actor. Casting did a great job on this one.
Each story, and the characters in it, are developed well. There is a real sense of urgency and impending doom hanging over the whole movie. I felt like my pulse was elevated the whole time. Like an “anything could happen at any time” kinda feeling.
I give it a 9/10. I really liked it that much.
^Agreed.
Little Fockers - Meh
Human Centipede - Words can’t describe how disturbing this movie is
Tokyo Gore Police - Was so bad I had to turn it off
Resident Evil Apocolypse - I enjoyed it, but then I’d loved the whole series of movies.
The Other Guys - great comedy, I loved both Wahlberg and Ferrell in it - they played their parts well.
Dinner For Schmucks - Average, a few funny parts but pretty mindless movie.
The Other Guys - They’re not the heroes, they’re the “other guys.” Two mismatched, low on the totem pole cops finally have to man up and take on a big case. Blah, blah, blah.
First, I’m a huge Will Ferrell fan. Old School, Semi-Pro, Step Brothers, Talladega Nights, and Anchor Man are some of my favorite movies.
I thought this had some funny parts but overall it sucked pretty bad. It was like Blades of Glory level comedy. Just weak. The plot was also awful, not that it’s supposed to matter, but it’s worth noting that I actually noticed how shitty it was. Because I wasn’t fucking laughing. Mark Wahlberg was clearly miscast He’s not funny in any way. Ferrell had some funny lines but his character was a little too reserved to be LOL-funny like he usually is. I think the production team expected people to laugh just because Will Ferrell was acting quiet and reserved for a change, and it didn’t work.
Samuel L and Rock were funny when they were on the screen, but that was pretty limited.
Overall, a 3/10. I’m usually not harsh with reviews. I like a lot more than I dislike, but this thing was a waste of time. There is no worse movie than a comedy with no laughs in it.
The Last Exorcism - terrible, took forever to get in to the story, filmed like a documentary which didn’t work well, ending could have been alot better.
Case 39 - was pretty good, kinda predictable, after watching Last Exorcism before this one it made this one seem great.
Frailty last night, then working backwards the Fugitive (classic) which I got confused with U.S. marshalls… not sure how that happened. That’s this week so far.
True Grit was pretty good.
watched How to Train your Dragon. It was suprisingly good.
