More Movies You've Watched This Week

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li - Terrible. The only way this could have been worse was if Uwe Boll would have directed it, and even then it would have only been slightly worse. Chris Klein is an horrifically terrible actor and waste of space. The only reason why I finished the movie is because Kristen Kreuk is beautiful.

12 Rounds - I liked this movie better the first time I saw it, when it was called Die Hard: With a Vengeance. Seriously, when they looked at the script for this movie, nobody thought, “Hey, isn’t this is pretty much a direct ripoff of one of the Die Hard movies?”

Marie and Bruce - Worst dialog I’ve seen in a movie in a while. From the first moment the characters start to speak, you are annoyed and put off. Sets the record for the number of times the word ‘darling’ is said in a conversation…annoying said, at that. Julianne Moore and Matthew Broderick are completely wasted in this piece of crap.

The Education of Charlie Banks - Didn’t hold my interest at all and I’m not sure why the title of the movie contains ‘Charlie Banks’ when I felt like the movie was more about Mick’s character. Fred Durst isn’t proving to be a good director so far. This isn’t surprising since his music was terrible as well.[/quote]

I liked Jack Ritter in “The Education of Charlie Banks”. He was so brutal, it was just such a shock when he would go off on someone.

Burn After Reading - I thought this was utterly horrible and boring. It starts slow, and just doesn’t seem to ever get going. With a cast of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and John Malkovich, I thought it would hold promise. It sucks.

007 The World is Not Enough - this was not one of my favorite Bond movies. Pierce Brosnan fails to deliver the toughness that Daniel Craig can, and is filled with too many cheese one-liners that make you roll your eyes. Denise Richards doesn’t help any with her awful acting. A disappointment IMO.

Road House - great guy movie from '89, good action with some great one liners. Seeing this movie made me sad to think about Patrick Swayze’s situation.

This movie is so brutal. The beginning is so emotional.

The Bishop’s Wife - Old cheesy movie with Cary Grant. If you like old cheesy movies, I recommend it.

Mr. Brooks - OK Im thinking anything with Kevin Costner is going to be horrible but my father told me to see it and it received decent reviews. Excellent movies, cool twists, Excellent cast (Demi Moore was good, Costener was excellent, Dane cook in a semi straight role was good and William Hurt as usual is the shit)

Hancock - I usually am not one for blockbuster type films. I do tend to watch all Will Smith stuff and I have to say I really loved the movie, it was an interesting twist on a superhero movie, Theron is plain beautiful, Bateman is excellent. It has received mostly bad reviews but I thoroughly enjoyed same. A hancock 2 is called for.

Finally got round to watching Gran Torino. Enjoyed it, it was a bit clunky in places but overal a good movie.

I also watched Videodrone: Absoultely hillarious though it wasnt intended to be, I believe the movie was made in 83 and has James Woods (awesome) and Deborah Harry (not awesome) in it. Its good fun to watch horrible special effects. Some Bizarre sex scenes and gore. I think it is a social commentary on the media and television, and its effect on the masses. Very dated but I have to admit it kept my attention.

Up== Was awesome I think especially in 3d! Great story line and very enjoyable for adults and kids

Next - Never noticed this movie in '07, it includes Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel(oh yeah!!:D). Nicholas’s character can see what happens 2 minutes into the future. When he meets Jessica’s character he can all of sudden see further and he has to help the government stop some crazy shit ! ’

Beowolf - Awesome animation, great plot and characters. Includes an animated sexy angelina jolie! If u like fantasy genres , bloody action and romance check it out

yeah. i was weeping.

At least you can admit it.

I was on the verge.

Oh yeah…saw Juno a couple weeks ago with She Say. I thought it was pretty good.

Just watched Moliere. Good french film.

Duplicity - Has a great cast which makes the movie worth watching for some. Clive Owen, Julia Robterts, Wilkinson and Giamatti did a good job and they delivered a few comedic performances. One problem with this movie is you have to pay attention because the movie jumps around a lot… This is a movie where you have to watch it 2 times to understand it.

IMDB Duplicity (2009) - IMDb - 6.6/10

The Wackness–I liked it. Our boy Shapiro was too good for that whore, anyway. Ben Kingsley made me laugh whenever he was high.

‘What did you do to get in here, brother?’

“I stabbed my wife in the pussy.”

Burn After Reading was pretty terrible. It seemes like the Cohen brothers went out of their way to be ‘Cohen’. It lacked any depth and some bits were just downright stupid and confusing.
The scene with Brad Pitt in the car with John Malkovich had me laughing my ass of, though.

Denise Richards? Not exactly top quality acting but she’s just so damned yummy!

Oh, and I watched Fight Club again yesterday.
One of those movies where I feel I should take some of the things Tyler Durden said and apply them to my own life.

‘‘Working shity jobs we hate for shit we don’t need.’’ Damn that always stays with me(I loath my job, maybe that has something to do with it)

That movie has the best dialogue ever. Unfortunately, it’s way too clever to be realistic. I talk like that all the time, and people never play along. Because people are prosaic cunts.

Fight Club remains the only movie I’ve seen that was better than the book. It never gets old.

I forgot to mention Stardust.

I’ve been watching it a lot and I really like it. It’s incredibly cliched in some ways and really novel in others. Robert DeNiro was hilarious.

Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li.

Dear God.

I mean, if this were about the time that the first Mortal Kombat movie came out, this movie MIGHT have been considered “ok”. First, why is Michael Duncan getting smaller in every single movie? Shit, the fucker is smaller than me now and that makes me feel bad.

Beyond that, they had Kristen Kreuk narrate the movie. The ONLY people who should be allowed to narrate a movie are Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, and whoever probably does those Nature videos that are out on dvd. Anyone else should just stop as soon as the script arrives at their house. Further, the fight scenes are about “Buffy the Vampire” level…which isn’t quite good enough for a movie.

I liked Kristen on Smallville and was really hoping she would make it big. Maybe she still can…but not this time.

Juno - I actually found this pretty crap. Maybe I could like it if I were a female. Some of the dialogue was ok but didn’t it get nominated for an Academy Award? Maybe I missed something.

Tropic Thunder - I didn’t watch this earlier because I’m not a fan of Jack Black but it was actually pretty funny at parts. I can’t believe Tom Cruise played the movie producer dude. I was sitting thinking he looked so familiar.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - I enjoyed this better then the other 2. I found the story more interesting and not so damn predictable, although it seemed unusual to make a movie of this when it doesn’t really tie in with the other 2, or maybe it does and I have no idea.
