Well no - but then I’m not a show off lol!
Just heard this on a podcast with Dan John. It’s on my list
5 rounds of
Double KB front squat ladders
2-3-5-10
Leg day:
Use body weight and do as fast as possible:
10 front squat,
15 back squat
20 dead lifts.
I keep seeing you write about “armour building”. But my copy of “Make Mass Simple” is delayed until I sort out an issue I’m having with Amazon.
I will admit - each time you “drop” the cleaned KB in the video I did wonder why. But I like this. I might use something like this. Its just lots of floor to front squat. Its brutally simple in its idea. But I can see it not a nice experience. I can clean a 50kg bar twice and then FS 3 times. It’ ot the same but for now its close enough.
FYI - “only 6 a minute”. That’s one every 10 seconds Coach. That’s quite quick…
Are you talking about my rest periods, or is this a technique thing? EDIT: Strike that, I get what you mean now.
ABCs aren’t in Mass Made Simple, but it’s described in the text up there. 2 cleans, 1 press, 3 front squats. Here too
Dan DID greenlight ABCs for Mass Made Simple lite, but has also since gone on to say not to run that program, so there’s that, haha.
I know some folks have done ABCs with a barbell before. It certainly works.
Cool - I assumed it was in the book. I might follow his YouTube channel. Seems to throw out loads of great content.
His channel is awesome! His podcast is “signal to noise ratio” defined. So much good stuff.
I want to get my hands on some KB just to try these.
I wanna get my hands on Dan John for coming up with this, haha. It can be done with dbs though
I only have DB handles with clips. Can’t really be used for cleans. Once I get the inclination to go back to the gym I will give it a go.
I think maybe tomorrow. Not sure.
I was gonna try with an axle but wondered if this was too much of a change. I guess not. I suppose as long I’m smashing it it’s all good.
Today’s attempt at “leg day”.
You’ll notice I did not do “10-15-20”. But “12-17-20”. The goal is to reach 20-20-20 with 110kg.
Because why not.
Right up my street that one!
