More British Insanity for FightingIrish

What is it with MMA people? When the British take on American culture they really do add a dangerous twist to it. Oi vie! Thank god I’m half Irish.

Thugs attack two transvestites… who turn out to be cage fighters wearing fancy dress

Two thugs who attacked what they thought were a pair of transvestites picked on the wrong men - when their intended victims turned out to be cage fighters on a night out in fancy dress.

Dean Gardener, 19, and Jason Fender, 22, singled out the two men walking along a street in wigs, short skirts and high heels.

Bare-chested Gardener was caught on CCTV confronting one of the men in a pink wig, black skirt and boob tube - then seen swinging a punch, a court heard.

Wow he two punched two guys. But both were sucker punches but nonetheless, pretty cool.

Some of the comments are funny, specifically this one…

“I think stun guns are illegal in England because they could be used to stop a crime.”

Hahah. That guy gets it.

This is probably the noise you would hear in that guys head.

Sifu, what is your point? A guy was attacked, he defended himself. Then CCTV footage was used to convict the perpetrator.

Cock I was just commenting on the cultural differences. Over here it isn’t as common that cage fighters have a need to feel pretty on the weekends. So in that regard it is a little bit safer to be a hardass here.

They were at a stag do in Swansea, for whatever reason whoever was the best man appears to have decided that the theme was cross dressing.

I also doubt they were anything approaching high level MMA fighters.

then again, maybe you have a point

Yeah, because THE SUN website is renowned for its stellar reporting, gimme a break. There’s even a hotline over that story where people can call in with their ‘findings’.

WTF?! Can someone explain fancy dress, a stag night out, why cross dressing is apparently well tolerated in the UK, and what ten pints of cider is?

It isn’t well tolerated although having lived here for more than half a decade I’d say people are slightly more open minded about it than other places I’ve been to and lived in(emphasis on slightly), and a stag night is a bachelor party, they can get pretty crazy. Fancy dress is a term for a costume party. Pint is how they measure their drinks here, as in those big glasses you see in pubs.

And Cider is like a fermented juice. They have them in the states. Strongbow and woodchuck cider are to i can think of of the top of my head.

Too bad stuff like that is frowned upon in the states, or else my weekends would be 10 times as fun.
