Once again, in case you missed it, the article in question isn’t talking about assigning blame for problems in New Orleans. It’s talking about amazing ignorance, which you show boatloads of, and a blame the victim mentality from people that have no real understanding of the situation.

7 Pages on this thread. Over 120 posts and basically all that article has done is fuel the debate and caused more problems. Well, it also helped Professor X get to 4000 posts.
SlimJim posted a polished piece. SO did Rhino at the start of this. But honestly, what has it done…nothing.
Both pieces make good points, but they also are damaging. You can’t solve or even touch on the problems of race, poverty, immorality, etc. in a fucking article, post or television program.
It’s funny. Everyone gets SOOO close on here to coming together. One side is right…there are people that abuse welfare and want handouts. There were people in New Orleans (white and black) who were waiting for the government to save them. BUT NOT EVERYONE. That’s the key. You can’t lump all these people together.
