Hey guys,

I’m heading to Montreal for undergrad (McGill), so I was just wondering what do I know about the city.

Here are the things I know so far:

  • Very European
  • Lots of people/majority can speak french
  • Cold as hell in winter
  • Great nightlife

Things I want to know:

  • How the asian community?
  • Good gyms/coaches in the area?
  • Where to get cheap food in bulk?
  • Supplement store bargains?

And everything else a meathead/student would want to know about the city. Tips about Mcgill would be sweet too.

The best smoked meat is at Schwartz deli.

For a cheat meal or growth phase meal try Au Pied du Cochon.

the strip club known as Chez Pierre is awesome but over priced.

What type of asian are you talking about? South asian ‘indians’ have an association on campus.

Here’s what I know:

The Flyers beat the Habs last year in the playoffs. It was awesome.

I live near there. The city is dirty. Weather suck big time. Don’t be too delusionnal.But It is a nice city I am sure you will have fun.

It is…for the most part.
Keeping everything clean when there’s sleet and slush ain’t too easy.
Montreal’s a bit like Paris, Bohemian, arty and french.

Tons of gays there. I have a buddy that goes to McGill that says it’s extremely easy to pick up girls, because you have so little competition.
