Only 40, pussy. I want to see 45. Don’t make me come out there. I’ll give you something to cry about young man.

yeah, mine only go up to 130s so I am trying to milk slow progress. Of course with you in the game I might not keep the progress that slow.
This a.m. 30 minutes elliptical.
DE Bench
DE Bench 215 + 4 pair chains

pressdown stack + mini 3 x 15
hs military 4 x 10

So what are the goals Pete?? (Bench, dead and squat numbers) You’re so strong you’re right up there with Meat. I’m jealous as hell.

good question. And first off Meats got a lot on me especially in pressing strength. As loose and thin as my cheater shirt is, it still is a cheater shirt:) I am going to start narrowing down my squat objective in the next couple of weeks, as I finally get into my cheater suit. For bench something around 500, dead 650+, that’s all I am sayin…

Hah, by default. So what are you doing for rehab on that bulged disc? I remember being given these really ghey yoga exercises to rehab mine. I did them like twice in my basement at midnight when noone was around and with the lights off. I felt so ashamed…
It’s been raining for pretty much all of October here, which has made me feel all longing for times I spent in the UK and Ireland. So I picked up some fish and chips at a new joint that opened up. I’ll be damned if not 2 of the four waitresses weren’t ex-girlfriends, and I am talking from in my twenties. Then stopped and got some Guiness and John Powers. Listening to the Pogues, and doing some cleaning while the wife and the boy are at a Halloween party.
Speaking of wife, she came down to me while I was on the low impact gerbil wheel this morning and let me know she failed her test. Since I can’t really tell any of my ‘real’ friends and family for a couple of months, figured I would spill my guts here in my training log to my ‘ether’ friends. For a lot of reasons feeling some trepidition. Mainly due to a few fails we had before our son was born. And we ain’t no spring chickens… But only time, patience, and care will tell I guess.

i think doing nothing this past few weeks has done the most. i have most of the feeling back in the outside of my thigh now.

Hey - congrats on the good news big guy! and best of luck going forward.
Thanks soldog, this should be a great adventure.
MCL glad I inspire somebody.
Meat, PM me, I have been through this whole bulged disc, I actually have some ideas on how to quickly get back in the game. Not that yours might not be better, but wanna share mine.

congratulations on the early news!!! you and your family will be in my daily prayers for a safe progression to another drain on your wallet:)
i’ll send you a message today after my training. i’m sitting here right now getting my “exploding nonsense” down. then i’m out the door to do some lower stuff.
Pete, congrats! That is very, very exciting news.
Finally dragged myself in.
Squats bar x 10 x 2 sets, 135 x 10, 225 x 5, 315 x 5, 405 x 5, 495 x 5, 545 x 5 w/belt and knee wraps. Had my depth called, number 4 might have been a bit high, but per the caller the rest were more than deep enough.
Rack pull, mid shin. 225 x 5, 315 x 5, 405 x 5 495 x 5, 585 x 3, 675 x 3
shrugs, 4 sets, last set 545 for 12 w/o straps
decline sit up 4 x 15
back extension 4 x 15
standing calve 5 x 15-25
Congrats on the news on the home front. La famille est tout. Family is everything.
Oh yeah, great squats and rack pulls, too.
Thanks Harry.
Highlights from today: my cousin joined my gym a while ago, but today was the first time he was in at the same time as me. He walked in right before doing the 545 squat. He looked at the bar and said to me ‘what the f#@! are you doing?’ Also was called out for squatting too deep from one of the bbers there, lol.
Took my son to see Where the Wild Things Are yesterday. Great times. He discovered the joys of zoning out with a ton of popcorn. It was just he and I, which made it that much sweeter.
With being sick, diet has been shit for last two weeks, just starting to dial it back in today. Won’t bother stepping on a scale until later in the week. I have the huge false bloat going on right now. Felt good when I was squatting though:)
