I absolutely hate being sick. But oh well, rub some dirt on it.
This a.m. 30 minutes elliptical. ME bench tonight.

Is that your favorite deputy in the picture? Curse that evil Emperor Zurg!
Certainly is. Plenty of TS stuff around my house. I think I have seem 1 and 2 somewhere up near 10,000 times. In fact just last week the little guy came across his older brothers VHS copy down in the basement. He was very confused. Had to explain to him about rewinding, etc.
Made it in for ME bench. Went like this:
Raw warm ups, a ton, ending at 365 x 3. Thought about just keeping on going raw, but not what I was there for.
Loose shirt: 405 x 2, 440 x 2 (last one fugly) 440 x 2 (could have done 4, but shut it down)(have done 435 x 3, but technically 440 x 2 is a pr).
4 Board 405 x 5, 425 x 5, 445 x 5, 465 x 5 (pr) lots left in the tank, but now had spent an hour on the bench. Shirted stuff sucks because it makes for a long workout.
laterals 4 x 10
rope down/rope ext 3 x 12-20 each
Training partner John equalled his last meet with a single at 440. Tried 450 but lost it at the top. The four board 5s were all about us building our lock out, after our CNS was fried with doubles for me and singles for him.
Nice work-
you are benching what I pull!
Does the shirt or other gear protect you a little bit from
soreness or elbow pressure?
( not that the gear itself doesn’t beat you up)
even if I do a two board my elbows are killing me the next day if not right after
Cute Deputy.
The main thing the shirt I have does is offer a tiny bit of pop from the bottom, and protect my shoulders. I have fecked up both shoulders from years of pressing elbows out. My shirt is a single ply Titan Fury two to three sizes to big. It is getting bigger as I am getting leaner (despite my diet mishaps). Tonight I completely put it on by myself, which is not good. But it is working for training.
For elbow issues I have a pair of APT elbow sleeves. These things are beautiful. Keeps everything warm and tight, and offers a tiny amount of support. If you have elbow issues I suggest a pair of these. Mine are red and black striped, and some smart asses have begun calling me cat-in-the-hat because of them.
Sinuses full of goop. Skipped a.m. cardio, will try and do some light upper back stuff later. Debating stopping at the doc-in-the-box tonight.
Decided to coast through a BB style workout for today, not tax my cns, recovery, or cardiovascular system too much.
Pulldowns 5 sets 10-15 reps, last set 300 x 10
reverse grip pulldown 3 x 12
hammer strength dy row 4 x 12-15
preacher curls 4 x 12-15
alt cable curl 4 x 10-12
hammer curls 3 x 10 w/60s
face pulls 4 x 12-15
cable abs 4 x 12-15
seated calve 4 x 12
all reps real slow, rest intervals short. tomorrow I will probably take off in hopes of feeling good enough for DE days Thursday and Friday.
You guys must be pumped Toy Story 3 is coming out. Is he old enough to go to the movies?? Oh yeah, great lifting too.
Yeah looking forward to #3. Going to take him to Where the Wild Things Are maybe this weekend, see how he does. He is pretty good about sitting through movies, we will see about the theater.

When the kids were little we would have my in-laws come with us and have a lot of candy and popcorn. The kids would move from adult to adult throughout the movie and eat all kinds of snacks. I’m kind of jealous because my kids have no interest in the younger kid cartoons but I love them.

LOL, my older boy is 20 now, so I had a gap there where I couldn’t justify watching things like Toy Story. Now I have an excuse again, it is great.

I pretty much don’t let my kid watch anime, but have no qualms about indulging in it myself. Who needs an excuse?
fug, sinus infection, loading up on the anti-biotics and vitamin C. Kept waking up with bloody nose. No training today.

stick a tampon in your nose and cooch and get to work bro:)
I knew I could count on you Meat. The best was when I woke up with the whole side of my face covered in blood. Total zombie thing going on in the middle of the night. Good times.
Washed the sand out of my vag and made it into the gym.
DE squat. Tons of warm ups then did 335 + 4 pairs of chains (about 90 to 100 lbs)
12 sets of 2
By the 6th set I was moving fast.
Close stance GMs 4 x 12 w/225
Went to do hacks, but machine was taken, so left my comfort realm.
Bulgarian split squat 4 x 10
I really hope nobody had a camera phone and was videoing me. I am not comfortable doing these at all.
GHR 4 x 15
Managed to get up for 30 minutes elliptical. Way behind on the cardio this week, and my diet has been even 80%, much less 100%. When I feel like crap I tend to eat whatever I can get down. Not alot, but also not quite the macros I normally shoot for. Suddenly tater tots coated in ketchup and tabasco were all I could eat a couple of nights ago.
Oh well, will turn it back around over the next week. Monday night, when I benched, our ‘coach’ said I looked the leanest I have in several months. And he is a fuggin stickler for body comp, comes from the old school where PLers should look like BBers.
DE Bench
205 + 4 pair chains 8 x 3
CG incline ramped up to 245 x 14
DB bench 125s x 19 (20 was missed, so psychological)
rolling tris + minis 90s x 10, 95s x 10, 100s x 8
pressdowns 3 x 10-20
cable lateral 3 x 10
barbell front raise 45 x 15, 95 x 10
felt good, felt more ‘back at it’ today. Looks like I might have to do my heavy lower tomorrow, but considering what a pussy workout I had yesterday should be no big deal, lol.

Nice “comeback” session Pete! Do you have help getting those 125’s into position?
