ok …sorry as a police officer in the city if you do a foot chase it will last like no more then 4 city blocks no more…thats no way near 2 miles …more like 400 meters …do you think insted of doing 2 mile runs do you think sprint training would work better…cause after 3 blocks there will be about 50 cops helping out so sprints would be better? so my Question is can you is can you do sprint traing with the SOB program?

Actually, the more important issue is “time” not distance. A 2 mile run equates well with other police officers I’ve trained. Therefore, I suggest you build up a little extra reserve and stick to the 2 mile recommendation.
At the very least, alternate between 400M sprint sessions and a 2 mile jog throughout the week.

Chad,
I’ve used several of your programs (WM, TBT, HH), all with great success. I’m currently using SFM while leaning out (strict diet, 2 sprinting days, 1 day of 60 min moderate cardio - all of course on non-training days). I was planning on following this up with your QD program, because I thought I’d be primed for some decent hypertrophy after the past 4 weeks of fat loss.
I was, however, now considering trying to continue with the fat loss once I start the QD. Do you think I should consider perhaps something less demanding than QD, or just go for it? I should I add that I will be mildly “assisted” while attempting this, if it makes any difference
current stats: 6’ 2" ,242 pounds, 8-9 % bodyfat, trying like hell to get down that last little bit to 5-6%[/quote]
Even for assisted individuals, QD is way too demanding during fat loss. Stick to Triple Total Training.
Thanks CHad
my last workout was and 5 and 2 wave workout on day 1 and 5 x 5 on day 4
so you could be right that iwas trainnig the same qualities / paramater. how about adding a 2 x 20 for recovery workout on day 4 of my current routine on the speed day?
thanks again
Instead of switching strength qualities during the week could you switch every week or every other week and still get good results. Also do you believe a relative beginner should start out with higher rep sets until they are better able to handle heavy weights or is there no real carry over.
Also how do you feel about the need to correct muscle imbalances. Should someone try and do that first before they say set out on a fat loss plan.
One last question would be how do you feel about modifying training and nutrition so that certain training parameters coencide with certain training qualities. Such as low cal diet with strength training or power training and higher calories while seeking hypertrophy. Could you cycle through those things in a back and forth manner while still losing weight.
Would the above method also work within a week such as applying the idea to your ttt program. Mainteance or below mainteance calories on the strength and explosive or power days along with high calories on the hypertrophy days
I just started Hybrid Hypertrophy and really enjoy the workout. I finally let go of the old one muscle group a training session and put to use what I’ve been reading. After training 4-5 times a week for so long, is it possible that I might lose mass due to the tremendous difference in weekly volume? I’m just a little weary of only 3 working sets of 3 reps. I know that the program works, but any feedback would really appreciated. Thanks for all the information and great training programs.
