Monday, DJ Prime Time

Dan,
A couple of questions

 1. what are the best exercises to increase overall size an strength.
 2. What do you think about protein supplements

How about you explain that deadlift box jumping routine you are using on your new job?

Can you downsize it for the elderly? Seems a bunch of people are looking to get into something new. That workout, if fully explained for the hard of listening, is a great fall GPP program.

DJ, you are my idol. Whenever I’m about to do something related to training, nutrition, life, I ask myself, “What would Dan John do?” That’s real.

Thanks for everything.

I’m coming to an interesting idea about using multiple bars in training…I think it is better than what I usually do. Ah…I will write an article about it.

How’s the football season and the new job going?

Ah…glad you asked.

Fiber. A good bowel movement.

You expected more? Sorry. That’s really about it.
Dang! I thought a good beverage and a HOT woman was in there too.

Read the opening line of Frank Herbert’s “Dune.”

You basically say the same thing…we must be very careful how we set the beginning of things…

Dan, I just started reading “From the Ground Up”. This seems to be a very good program so far. I am 31 but I need to go back to basics, cause I have been trying to train like someone who is advanced and I don’t beleive I have a very good strenght foundation, so this may be a good place to restart, the beginning.
Thoughts? I have no thoughts on this…

Like Sherlock Holmes, I believe the mind is like an attic…you can only fill it with so many things. I prefer to fill mine with…uh…

Dan, what are your thoughts on bodybuilding or lifting for vanity?
No. No, I won’t.

Okay, I stole it from Barry Ross. Deadlift up to a heavy triple and after each set of deadlifts, jump on a box…or jump for distance. It’s part of the equation…not the final answer.

I’m doing this:

A mixed workout…read Crossfitish. Next day, Front Squats with Chains with a couple of jumps for a lot of sets. Next day, mixed workout. Repeat, rest when you feel the need. It seems to be waking up my legs…

And, I ask myself:

“What would you do if you were on a reality television show right now?”

It’s my “WWAND?”

What Would Anna Nicole Do?

Well, now the gloves are off! I hate it when philosophy debates ruin a friendship.
