I agree. I would say that the issue is closer to a single-mindedness that causes him to hammer at anything in the vicinity of a nail, so he’s treating BH like GB when they are nothing alike with the single exception of this view-set, and even there Brick seems to have started the thread in order to have honest discussion of the points raised.

I see it differently. Yes, own your beliefs. Then they can be examined, and either discarded, kept, or replaced.
Where I also disagree is with attacking someone who, for all intents and purposes, did exactly that. It’s not like he committed an unforgivable atrocity. The dude is actually going through life and maturing, changing and improving–and it shows in every facet of his life.
Had I not done the same thing I would have been dead 20 years ago. Instead, I’m looking at 17 years of sobriety on Friday.
Should the benefits of that change be revoked? Remove my family and wife?

For greenboy, I, personally, would have left him alone if he hadn’t started his usual song and dance with the dodgng and deflecting etc. He reminds me too much of zep , just that he’s on the other side of the political spectrum. I also did see the photo he posted of “himself” and thought I’d just give him the benefit of the doubt and leave it alone thinking that If he was smarter, he wouldn’t bring it up again.

I wasn’t speaking specifically about Brick. It was a general statement. You have a poster say that women have poor taste in music. Not different, which if true isn’t that bad of a thing to say. No, they have poor taste and less sophisticated taste; inferior taste. In short, women are simpletons who are easily distracted by superficiality with no substance (unlike Slayer). Now, when taken along with other statements about women we can say that he is being a misogynist. Someone can defend him, he can defend himself, by saying that what he believes does not make him such but, what he believes fits the actual definition of misogyny.

Not exactly but I can see why you would think that. The issue, so to speak, is that it isn’t just about incels and women. There have been posters on this thread who have posted their antisemitic and racist talking points. They were doing the same thing on another thread. This forum isn’t Stormfront, I hope, so why should treat those posters with nothing but disdain? And those racist and antisemitic tropes and views are part of the incel/Molyneux worldview. It’s part of their ideology. So the question I would have for BH is, what exactly do you want to discuss? Incels/Molyneux or simply the difficulty some men have with the opposite sex because adding incel and Molyneux to the equation creates a different debate. Unfortunately for BH, and maybe I was wrong, but by aligning himself on the same side as those other posters it caused him to receive some of the disdain I directed at them. Maybe he can say that he only agreed with some of what they said but, what they believe comes in a package deal. Their racism, antisemitism and misogyny is all connected. Therefore, I believe they must be rejected as a total package. Anything less and you are enabling them to continue to spread their hate.
I never advocated for cancelling anything and I would never interfere in a poster’s real life.
