Easy stuff. I’ll do some foam rolling later today. My groin is feeling a little better each day.
One more session and the nothing until Sunday’s meet. Looks like I’ll be competing in the afternoon session on Sunday. There will be two flights, nine 275’ers and nine UNL’ers. It should be a good atmosphere to put up some big numbers.

You know what weights you are going to open with? Or what you are hoping to end at?
Squat will be real tricky. If I feel good then I’ll open higher and go for something big at the end. If I don’t feel right, I’ll open light and just get into the meet.
If all goes well, I’ll open with 550/350/585 or somewhere in that neighborhood. I’ll take what I can get on Squat. Anything near or over 600 would be great. On Bench I’d like to hit 375 or 380. I usually only take 2 DL’s, so I would go for a PR on the 2nd attempt and only take a 3rd if it was very easy or if I missed my 2nd.
Ultimately I’d love to end up with a 1600 total. As long as I get PR’s across the board it will be a success, so anything over a 1525 total would put me there.[/quote]
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Last lift today, and it doens’t get any easier than this.

That’s it for me. Tomorrow is an off day, and I travel early on Saturday morning. I’m hoping to catch most if not all of Matt McG’s lifts on Saturday. Then I’ll take it pretty easy on Saturday night and Sunday morning. I’ll check my weight at some point, but it shouldn’t be an issue at all, so I should be able to eat something substantial Sat night and Sunday morning.
I’ll report back after the weekend. I’m flying back on Monday, so hopefully video will be up Mon. night.

You mean you’ll buy a laptop with wireless internet abilities and give up up to the minute reports from the warm up room and as soon as you get off the platform you’ll upload video. Then a full recap on Monday night with editorial discussion. That’s what you meant be Monday night, right?
You should still bring a calculator, but you can also print off a conversion chart. Here’s the one for the CPU (Canadian IPF affiliate). No need to expend additional energy trying to do math!
