I want to reiterate that the body is really good at being efficient. DNL becomes a more efficient pathway when carb intake is very high/fat intake is very low.
And more fat is oxidized from the low carb/high fat approach, but more fat is also ingested for a set caloric intake. At the end of the day, it’s pretty much the same. Which (I think) is what JMo is suggesting.
How big is the difference in GH secretion (with some standard for comparison)? And what effect does this actually have? Is there a surge caused by the delay later, etc etc? Concrete information supporting either side would be nice.
I’d like to see more information on the hormonal stuff, but everything I’ve read has seconded the position that there is an insignificant effect for small changes.
anyway it seems unnecessary to discuss theoreticals when the information is out there to be interpreted.
A big issue with these threads is the heresay discussion.
I mean when the all meat diet people can cherry pick studies to support basically any contention they want no matter how absurd- which I have experienced many a time- we know there are going to be problems.
Let’s see some comprehensive research reviews delving into these issues. Surely they exist.
