Consumer choices accounts for some of the problem. My parents didn’t buy a home air conditioner until I went to college. And both of my parents worked full time jobs.

Possibly but this industry makes more money by refusing to help. Another great feature of our “healthcare” system, which on balance is trash.

A country that has more vacant homes than homeless people is a failed country. People cannot afford a $1,000 emergency and typically live paycheck to paycheck. A failed country. A failed system. The richest country in the world but parents go bankrupt trying to save their child. A failed system and on and on…
These are called diseases of despair. Another gorgeous feature of end-stage capitalism.
No but it is the logical expression of capitalism. Gather as much money and power as you can. Then buy off those who make the laws and rig the system in your favor. Eliminate competition as much as you can.

I’m still not sure how you mean. Are there any specific examples of this system? I can think of plenty of examples within capitalism where workers own shares of the company. I’m not familiar with what you mean by worker co-op.

It sure does. It happens when people try to rig the system and deviate from free market capitalism.
