Years ago we had to explain Co-ops to Zep. I love how he’s now the expert. This place is amazing.
I mean, I assume it’s horseshit. But I’ll look at their business model and see if it’s the worker paradise he thinks it is. My guess is he’s not as familiar with it actually does as he professes.
Co-ops have existed in the US for a long time they just make up a very small percentage of businesses. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t like any other entity.

Of course, not. He had to use a company from Spain as his example.
I work in the grocery industry so I’m familiar with a few co-ops and their structure. At the end of the day, they still operate within capitalism and need to generate a profit or die. The ones I know suffer from an inability to adapt quickly. Some do okay.
Not necessarily, dumbass. It depends upon what those in charge decide.
What does? Taxes, or debt and inflation? The only other option is pixie dust, dipshit.
Actually, he would. Along with a whole lot of people that aren’t friends with, and don’t even know, the parents of the disabled child.
Ah. That explains the disconnect between you and zep. He collects a disability check.
I am not opposed to this if the system is created correctly. Single payer system I don’t believe is the answer.
I do agree with @Bauber that if you’re a giant fat-ass (like 400+) I shouldn’t have to pay for you. Nobody’s genetics makes them 400 lbs.
This implies that genetic problems are an acceptable reason to force others to pay for one’s healthcare. Which, of course, brings up another problem with government-controlled/mandated healthcare.
This is where I wish technology were vastly advanced. Using the 400lb example. If technology indicated that the genetics of the person would make his reasonable attainable weight to be 300lbs, all his healthcare that was complexed from obesity, then he should share all responsibility to pay the percent of pounds over his reasonable attainable weight. If he weighs 400lbs he is 33.3% over his reasonable attainable weight. Thus, he would be responsible to pay 33.3% of the medical bill.
I lack victim sympathy for people living a lifestyle that they expect me to subsidize.
But what of the genetics that allow him to be 300 pounds? What of any genetic faults? If “I” am on the hook to pay for any of “your” genetic problems, it only makes sense that “I” be allowed to limit the possibility of those genetic problems occurring. And that’s the problem to which I alluded.
That is probably your key point. We all have genetic faults, and probably quite a few, IMO. None of us are born genetic fault-free.
Diseases of despair? So, do they not have free choice? If you are in a shitty situation, it makes it okay to make even shittier choices to make your situation worse?
LOL. Your logic is truly astounding.
How many single payer systems would cover this yearly software tab that has nothing to do with a medical issue?
I can tell you - NONE OF THEM.
Nobody owes anyone anything. You are not entitled to a newer car, newest cell phone, money to eat out frequently, money to get your hair done, nails done, buy expensive coffee, etc. Especially when you have 3 CHILDREN that have needs.
I am sorry any failure to provide or produce is squarely on you. I have never had shitty wages other than when I started out with ZERO experience as a kid at Walmart almost 20 years ago. And guess what? In 6 months I was making over $20 an hour as a 19 year old kid at Walmart because I showed up and did my job and did it well.
All I hear are excuses.
And what has funded the wars in the mid-east, money going to Ukraine or help with natural disasters, dipshit?
Once again you’re wrong! But this is a theme.
So the B.O.D. and C.E.O.'s are a better way? It’s worked out so well.
A pure fantasy. This is what capitalism naturally slouches towards.
I used it as it is the most famous example.
Do they generate a profit no matter the consequence?
No of course not. Private corporations and C.E.O.'s might suffer financially and the world should keep being their oyster. Hell, who is going to pay for their yachts and vacation homes while people sleep in tents?
The problems brought up by a “free market” system are the cost and rationing to name but two. Of course single-payer is garbage that covers everyone for about half the cost. What good would a healthcare system be if it wasn’t the cause of tens of thousands of deaths every year and the cause of medical BK’s financially destroying people’s lives, sometimes to try and save their own child. And cue the music for numb skulls who want to cry about taxes but have no problem paying twice as much as most people in the civilized world. As I always say the indoctrination is deep with this forum. Good Lord!
Nice deflection.
YOU aren’t paying for anyone but keep listening to indoctrinated people like Bauber and keep the misinformation alive.
