Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Yes. Every single person I have ever met who hates their boss has some things in common Typically they are an unskilled laborer and/or lazy. Sometimes they are also an asshole. I’ll let others comment on which of those traits you frequently display. Very rarely is it only because the boss themselves is an asshole.

Employment is a contract, willingly terminated. It goes back to if you don’t like your boss, look for a different job as you begrudgingly work the current crappy one. If you dislike every boss you have ever had, the problem is likely you.

Proof you know nothing about salaried positions. It’s a contract I willingly signed up for. The terms are fine with me. Not everyone has the same hang ups you do. The number of Saturdays I have been mandated to work is exactly zero.
I also have the freedom to change my schedule around with a simple email to my “boss”. and since we are good terms I have never had a problem getting that approved.

That’s all fine an good. It’s being kind to others and is how everyone should generally act. How does it further your goal of making the world better? It helps in the short term, but being such a visionary thinker (as you claim) a long term strategy would be better. Maybe if you started that non-profit for whatever cause you champion you could employ a couple of those folks that have to frequent the food bank and help them get out of their current crappy situation. And bonus, you would stop leeching off those of us who create value.

Also, like I said, my job directly allows others to have jobs - thereby feeding their families too. And typically those are skilled labor jobs at shops where a lot of the workers are union members…

Why? Was what I said untrue? Your lack of business acumen or skills to produce anything of meaning are on abundant display.
You routinely resort to insulting people first - going as far as accusing people of a crime (i.e. being a terrorist). But I am the jerkoff - okay…

Like I said - way off and overly simplified because you can only think in binary terms. Freedom in the human condition is an illusion. We are all bound by a massive number of things, over and above whatever our governments laws happen to be.
To reiterate, life is suffering. It’s the theme of every major religion for a reason. Escape from suffering may be achieved by death, nirvana, heaven, whatever your belief system holds. Or maybe we all turn to fertilizer and none of this actually matters.

I agree.

Every boss I have had in the professional world has been awesome and easy to work with / for. It is amazing what being a competent professional will do for you. As long as my job has been done / things taken care of, I have never had a boss ask or question where I am or what I am doing.

A) no, I was there and b) hc reductions are almost always more expensive long term if it used to reduce expense in the short term, but I don’t expect you to know that because your understanding of corporate finance comes from the back of a crayon box.

That’s because you’re dumb.

I hate to look like I’m defending the U.S., but what does that mean to you?

He actually used the correct terminology, for once, and specified “growth.” Now, I’m not sure how he expects the world’s biggest economy to grow at the same rate as countries for whom the production of three pogo sticks results in a 33% growth rate…but he is technically correct.

Right, but his snide remark implies capitalism isn’t good because a semi-capitalist society (China) is growing faster than we are. However, as I pointed out, we’re literally the largest economy by gdp in the world and it’s not close.

How is China even in this argument? It’s absurdity lmao.

I’ll dumb it down to the dumberest of the dumererst for ease of comprehension.

China’s growth rate is directly related to dropping socialist policies starting from the Open Door Policy.

This is like something I can explain to a 10 year old and he/she/they/it etc would get it.

You guys should understand that people in China look down on the US public because they got actual monetary support from the government due to stopping work during COVID. That’s the remnants of the COMMUNINIST mentality of NOT getting shit for doing nothing. Shit, where is this new fantasy idea of actual commie culture from?

Jesus Christ, @loppar the wild fantasies about socialism being spread. Who is spreading this? YouTube? Why were peasants upset at landlords from the start? Because landlords did nothing and got stuff. This is COMMON SENSE ffs. You don’t even need to know what the fuck socialism is to get this concept. You think the peasants would have staged those uprisings if they were getting handouts for not doing shit? You think bums who are getting handouts for not doing shit will actually get off their asses and do shit like stage a fucking uprising? Fucking monkeys, literal fucking monkeys, understand this.

We may have the largest GDP in the world but for how long?

China’s influence is becoming greater and greater while the U.S. is in decline as the world is beginning to turn away from the U.S. and is tired of their shit.

That capitalism is a dead end and it’s where the U.S. is heading while capitalism cannibalizes itself.

I know this may be difficult for you to believe but there are plenty of industries who do almost anything for profit like destroy the environment of the lives of people. All for more profit. Do business schools teach people how to become sociopaths?

So if it’s done in China then it’s cool?

The question I was asking was obvious. But you had to be extremely literal about it, so you can skirt answering it.

The thing that is mind-numbingly stupid here is you. But I guess you must be to defend your position.

So this industry is literally controlled by thousands?

Again thinks oligopolies don’t exist because other companies try to do the same business as the leader of the industry. Calls it competition instead of acknowledging the political protection they foster, finesse supply function, inelastic demand of their products etc. But so it is in the cult of capitalism.

No that’s because I’m not a capitalist sycophant.

Short-term profit is the name of the game. What rock have you been under?

In GDP growth?

I don’t have one.

Hahahaha…man you are so delusional.

Who have I accused as a crime? Maddy Albright? She once said that the murdering of 500k children in Iraq was worth it. Even grandma’s can be psychopaths! And the U.S. is often brought up on war crimes but since they aren’t a member of the ICC it’s never a problem ultimately.

And what do you think of those who make others suffer more and prolong their suffering?
