How on earth are you a power lifter, who weighs 156? You truly are inspirational! What you pull what you push, what you lift…you’re amazing. I’m watching your videos and i don’t understand how you do it, but whatever you do, you’re doing it damn well.

I haven’t read through your entire thread, but are you gearing up for a meet?[/quote]

Hey there! Thanks for coming by!!! I guess I should update my profile… I am not 156 anymore =*( haha… that was my weight when I was preparing for my figure competition. I typically fluctuate between 160 and 165 off-season… but right now I am closer to 170. I have definitely put some muscle on since my last competition… but am not staying as lean as I am usually able to =( Actually going to have some tests run by a Dr. in two weeks to see if something is wrong… but all the videos I just posted are recent… so you can see how I look now anyway =D

And yes I am getting ready for a meet in 5 weeks on May 9th… I am so excited!

If you like my log… you will LOVE this one:

Either way, 170 is still in great shape, and yes i saw your youtube videos and you look great to me. But i understand you not being satisfied with where you are, but is your body fat percentage still the same or has it gone down? I can only imagine that if you’re lifting more and you’re getting stronger that you would not being gaining too much fat…right?

And of course, good luck with your meet, 5 weeks is close:)

BF% is definitely higher than it was at my show in October… it’s inevitable to gain some fat back after a competition… I would say I am 16-17% bf right now… not that it’s bad but I KNOW if everything is functioning well that I can sustain a lower bf% on a higher caloric intake… I have done it before! =D

So I am afraid some of my hormones might be a bit out of whack… we will see! I am very curious to know what’s going on!

I’m curious as well. I’ve been reading some of the threads on here. One in particular in powerful women that talks about hypothyroidism and anemia, which I’m pretty sure i’m low in iron (runs in the family), so hopefully whatever it is isn’t too bad and is manageable, or better yet, hopefully it’s all psychological and the only method is time:)

Here are some videos of my lifts the last couple of weeks that I just now got put up…

Here is a video of me box squatting with a cambered bar 2 weeks ago… there is 160 on the bar, + 2.5 lbs collars on either side, and the bar is 68 lbs… so its 233 lbs for 4 reps:

Then 170 on the bar… so 243 for 3 reps:

Oh yeah, please excuse Susie for calling me a SILLY HOOKER at the end of the first video… she needs medication ;D

Haha Thanks DDot! She was calling Sbmart a “benchtastic hookerface” the other day… Hmm… we should not let Susie make up any more names for us! =D

Chocolate - I know! She was so quick you almost miss it! haha

So I had a great workout today… AND I figured out how to put videos in my journal! WHOO HOO! =D

So Today’s workout went like this:

Wide Stance Back Squat
5 reps @ 75% of 1RM
5 reps @ 80% of 1RM
5 reps @ 85% of 1RM

So my 1 rep max is around 250-ish… BUT… I used 240 as my 1 RM just to be safe.

Wide Stance Back Squat
Warm up @ 45, 95, 135, 165,
5 reps @ 180
5 reps @ 190 (supposed to be 195, I messed up!)
5 reps @ 205

Step-Ups
4 sets of 8-12
8 reps/8 reps/8 reps @ 135 lbs
THEN, I did 8 reps @ 155 lbs! YIPEE! =D

Hanging Leg raises
4 sets of 12 reps

Grrr… can’t get the video to show up here! It worked on FA dangit!

Oh well, here is a link:

Would have liked my squats a bit deeper… will have to work on that!

Here is my step-ups video (155 lbs x 8 reps)

You’re a beast…i love watching your videos. even before i knew who you were i had your “hot blonde” videos on youtube saved as my favorites. I try to copy you’re form, cause regardless of if you have your not so great postures…you’re way better than i am…thats enough for me:)

I’m impressed with the incline DB press. I did them for the first time last night starting at 30 lbs and dropping to the pink DBs by the end :frowning: I think I may have cried a bit too.

Yah tell me about it! My benching skills DO NOT carry over for reps. Going over five reps is up there with my running marathon skills.
