WG Chins 5x10xBW
Seated DB Press 4x12x50
Squat 3x15xBW
Dips 5x10xBW
DB Curl 3x10x30

Recovery day. Everything was really easy and I got a lot of blood flowing. Feel a lot better after the session.

3/26/12

Squat 5x3x315
Pause Bench 5x3x245
WG Chins 3x12xBW

Pretty good day. Squatting is getting better each session. On both squat and bench, the first set is definitely the hardest, then it gets progressively easier. I should be seeing some good progress soon.

Did some chins, rows, and ab stuff after classes. Secured a pretty easy manual labor job again this summer. I’m already planning on how to do nothing but work, train, and eat.

Deadlift 5x2x475
Seated OHP 5x3x175
WG Chins 5x10xBW

Decent enough. Ran this morning at PT. I’m pretty sure I have a stress fracture in my foot; shit sucks.

Are you getting a xray or mri?

Don’t know yet. My appointment’s not til Monday, but I was just taking a shower and getting such foot pain/high ankle tightness that I may just try to drop in tomorrow. Today’s the worst it’s been by far.

I hate petty injuries

3/28/12

Squat 6x2x335
Bench 6x2x255

Pretty good session. Squatting is getting significantly better every time.

Glad the foot injury isn’t affecting your squatting.

Thanks. It still hurts, especially when I tighten my shoes down, but no stability issues yet.

3/30/12

Squat 5x3x335
Seated OHP 6x2x185
WG Chins 3x12xBW

Pretty good session. The first set of squats is always the toughest. Today, sets 2-4 felt incredible and everything was locked in. I was going to bench after squatting, but after the last rep of set 5, my left knee felt funny and it was slightly uncomfortable to get into benching position. I decided to press instead, and I’ll bench tomorrow.

My bodyweight is dropping again, but I’ve got a pretty good handle on my energy levels. I probably weigh about 184-186 now, and strength is still improving. I’ll take it.

Good stuff man. Your training seems a bit different nowadays, is that the case?

It is. I took some programming advice from arramzy on these boards. I’m aiming for a set number of times to train each lift a week, and basing each session off of Prilepin’s. I know I’m not really doing things too scientifically, but the fact that I’m actually building my lifts instead of testing them all the time seems to be working swimmingly.

I think before, I was trying to train for powerlifting like a bodybuilder/dumbass. I’m not calling bodybuilders dumbassess, but for my purposes, the mishmash of things I was doing was more akin to their ilk and somewhat counterproductive to my goals.

I hope that made sense; let me know if it doesn’t.

3/31/12

Press 5x3x155
Chins 5x8xBW
HLR 4x8xBW

I was going to deadlift today, but had no desire to and felt tired from squatting. I think I’m going to focus on my squat for a while, since it is progressing nicely now.

Makes sense. Definitely looking forward to seeing how it works for you.

4/1/12

Squat 1x1x365 too easy, 5x3x340 ezpz
CGBP 1x5x250 PR, 5x3x225
Flat DB Bench 3x8x80
DB Rear Delt 4x10x25

Took 365 for a single today to feel the weight on my back. Moved like an empty bar. Squatting felt good, sets 2-4 were awesome. Close grip pr out of nowhere. Feeling good.

4/2/12

RDL 2x495 PR
BB Shrug(hold at top) 3x10x315
Bench(no leg drive) 3x275, 1x300
Chins

I’m in a boot for a little bit of a stress fracture. Kinda sucks, but hopefully it’ll clear up soon. Don’t think I can squat for a little bit, so big deadlift here we come.

Haven’t been on T-nat for a while. I’m busy with school, but finals are almost done. I’ve had some pretty decent training. Squatted 2xBW for 4 reps the other night(4x375) and benched 2x300 the other day. Here’s my most recent deadlifting: Block Pull 2x565 - YouTube

I’ll keep up with this more once summer hits.

Nice pulls brah. Looking pretty solid too.

Thanks bud. I’m a lot more active on the facebox than here.
