Didn’t feel like getting into the gym today after a hard night of bowling and Waffle House gorging with some friends from high school. Note: Waffle House frowns upon eating off of random strangers’ tables, but they won’t kick you out for it.

12/30/11
Flat Bench 12x225 PR (Damn you PJ)
Oly Squat 2x385 PR
DB Hammer Curl 12x80 PR
DB Curl 4x?
Leg Press 3x?
Impromptu 225 for reps challenge today. I hit a pr, but didn’t meet the lofty standards of Mr. I’msofancywithallmykneesleevesandslingshotsandgadgets. Had some ass/hip problems on the squat again, but I think mobbing helps it.
I’m going to a wedding at the Biltmore tomorrow night(yeah, the Biltmore on NYE), so be jealous. Due to this fact, I won’t be training tomorrow. I’m getting a new gaming computer too, so lots of fun in my future.
I’m jelly of the oly squatting. Nice work!

Thanks bud, just needs to get closer to my deadlift weights
Ohufancyhuh?
Lol, 12 is still awesome man. Nice work. Plus you’re still a shitload stronger than me ![]()
The biltmore is awesome, been there once. Huuuuuuge.
1/2/12
Deadlift 3x515 PR
Incline Bench 5x245 PR
Flat DB Bench 10x90
Cable Fly 3x?
Pretty awesome first session of the year. Deadlifts felt good and I possibly had another in the tank, just judging by the smoothness. I wrote myself up my goals for the year, so time to get after em.
1/4/12
Military Press 1x160 oww
Low Bar Squat 1x365, 1x395
Oly Squat 8x315 PR
Military Press(again) 6x145 PR(really cheap)
High Pull 3x225, 3x275
DB Side Raise 4x?
DB Front Raise 4x?
Got back to school and got my new computer. It’s the best thing ever. Had to train in the school gym today, but it wasn’t too bad. Started off pressing, and it hurt, so I called it. Tried low bar squatting for the first time in forever, and it sucked. It kills my wrists even though all the weights popped up. I’m really starting to believe that, for me, high bar is the way to go. I feel like it will allow the most possibilities long term. I may try low barring again to see if I can work around it, but for now, HB is my fave.
1/5/12
Deadlift 5x495 PR
HG Chins 3x45, 3x70 PR ?xBW
DB Hammer Curl heavyish
DB Curl
Rear Delt Machine
DB Rear Delt
I managed to stop passersby today with my deadlifting.I don’t like it when people watch me. I just want to be assburger’s all by myself.
If anyone wants to know anything more about my training or myself, or just want to see more stuff in my log, please let me know. I’m trying to get this more active and get a few more followers. Once I get in the Dungeon again, I promise to post more videos.
moar vidz plz ![]()
How is your training structured as of late? It seems quite fluid.

Will do on the vids. I don’t want to pull a camera out in the student gym, it’s pretty hectic.
I guess fluid is a good way to describe my training. I don’t have set days or rep schemes. It’s almost always high frequency/lowish volume. I’ve found that I can increase the volume of specific lifts or bodyparts due to their recovery abilities. I almost always aim to break a PR on my big lift of the day. Most days have 2 big lifts, while some only have 1. The PRs I break are usually small and I rotate what rep area I want to break. For example, I’m probably going to squat twice this week. I set a PT at 8 reps yesterday, and I’ll probably try for a PR at 2-3 reps on Saturday. I feel like lifting heavy a lot has conditioned me to it and think it allows for a higher base of strength.

Good stuff man! I’m digging the idea of frequent sessions with a couple of exercises.
1/6/12
Incline BB Bench 1x245 bad bench, so cut it
Flat DB Bench 5x105, 13x90
DB Front Raise
Pushups DB Press
Not too bad. Trained with a friend and talked about training.
1/7/12
Oly Squat 3x375 PR, 3x3x315
Bent-Over Row 5x225, 5x255 PR
Lower back is donezo for a while. I’m tired and will continue to play Skyrim until classes start.
1/9/12
Deadlift 2x525 PR
Beltless Pause Deadlift 3x3x405
DB Hammer Curls worked up to the 75’s for a few sets
CG Pulldowns
Concept 2 Erg
Took yesterday off because my low back was fried. Felt good this morning and knew everyone and their brother would be benching today, so I decided to do the opposite. Deadlifts felt pretty good, not sure how much I had left in the tank, so I’m going to hit some higher reps on those now. First time doing pause deads; they’re the worst thing ever, but that’s how I know I need them. Saw some friends I haven’t seen in a while and one said my traps were looking huge(I loled inside because I’m tiny). That just added to my belief that deadlifts can pretty much cover you for trap development for a long time.
I lol’d at everyone and their brother.
Paused deads suck sooo much, but I definitely agree that they will work wonders.

They really were miserable, plus I did em beltless and I have a huge reliance on my belt.
1/10/12
Flat Bench 1x2x275, 1.5x285, 10x225
Flat DB Bench 3x20x50
DB Front Raise
Dips 70xBW
Chins
Should definitely have had 2x285. Misgrooved it due to the low benches in the gym. I’ll get it very soon. Got a hellacious pump from the 3x20 db bench. Going to work on increasing my volume there.
1/11/12
Beltless Pause Squat 3x3x275
Good Morning
Abs
Kind off an ab/recovery day. Definitely didn’t have the ability to go heavy due to training really early and just feeling beat up. Everything was fine until abs. I aggravated the old injury, and it hurt terribly. Hopefully I can get it under control, otherwise I might be back on profile.
1/12/12
1a. Fat Bar Press 4x5x125
1b. WG Chins 4x8xBW
DB Front Raise
DB Press
Cable Side Raise
Pretty tired from classes and whatnot. Done til Tuesday, but I’ve got enough work to keep me busy for a while.
