I hate this kind of garbage. A lot of people like Felony Fights because it’s so raw. After all, it’s street fighting. But one of these days they are going to get someone killed, or permanently disabled. Who knows, maybe they already have. They wouldn’t upload those videos of course.
Anyway, it looks like the winner of that fight broke or damaged his left hand. He tries not to use it during the “second round” and mostly slaps with it. I hope he didn’t have to cancel a real fight because of it.
So let them get killed.
You prefer “fights” where no one gets seriously injured? That is a joke. That is not fighting, it is combat ballet.
The shit you see on TV is not real fighting. UFC isn’t real fighting. Pride isn’t real fighting. You can’t make a sport out of real fighting. It’s impossible.
The easiest way to defeat a pro MMA fighter in a street fight would simply be to use tactics that weren’t allowed in his sport. Since he wouldn’t have any training experience in those tactics, you would automatically level the playing field.
Considering the MMA orgs to be “real fighting” is equivalent to thinking that Hollywood movies depict violence (and it’s aftermath) the way it appears in real life. If you think that’s true then I suggest you head over to Ogrish.com sometime and bring a bucket
You are on crack. I was going to go into detail, but that really covers it.
yea ive seen this video before. i think the “street fighter” must be coked up or on some other ish because ther is no way you wouldnt be passed out after a beating like that
This shit is sick, this guy is most likely having a seizure from those knees to the head (and no you dont have to be flopping around like a fish when you have a seizure) I do research in head trauma, this guy will really regret this if he makes it over 60.

Agreed. The other guy looked pretty decent when standing but I believe Smith could have ended it earlier if that is what he had wanted.
The non-pro threw nothing but super telegraphed rights and Smith took a number of them on the chin. Good chin, but damn, block one or two of those!

If you’re implying that I believe the UFC and Pride FC are examples of “real fighting,” than you are mistaken. The UFC and Pride FC are fight sport organizations…the key word being “sport.” I like watching sporting events and regulated competition. I have no desire to watch “real fighting,” or something very close to “real fighting” like Felony Fights.
I’m like many Americans in that my fascination with violence is a bit hypocritical. I like watching controlled chaos where competitors walk away with only minor injuries most of the time. However, I shun such practices as those seen in Felony Fights. Although that may make me a hypocrite, I find that far more respectable than what you’re advocating.

Level the playing field? Simply? I’ve never fought anyone who trains MMA, maybe you have, but I have friends who do train and I’ve watched them fight (in a street fight). Discounting physical skill (something you seem to think is “simple”), they are on a whole different playing field when it comes to the mental aspects of fighting: they aren’t scared, they anticipate moves, and remain, for the most part, calm and collected.
When they’ve fought, their opponents didn’t have a chance to even think about trying “tactics that weren’t allowed in his sport.” You make it sound as though an MMA fight in completely different than a “real” fight…it’s not.

Actually, i didn’t mean that they both looked decent. They both looked like they had poor boxing skills by professional standards

That last one is disturbing. You aren’t hardcore if you like that shit, you may very well be a sociopath, but to each their own. Beating on a guy after he is already knocked down, going so far as to jump up and drop knees on him after he is unconcious serves no purpose other than to injure or possibly kill him. If you want to see realism then join the military or travel to Palestine or Iraq or the Congo…all the realism you “hardcore” individuals can handle.
both of these guys looked like fucking jokes. as others have said, i couldnt tell which one was “supposed” to be the pro MMA fighter. it was pathetic. they were fucking dancing in a circle throwing bullshit punches and jumping back. thats not how i fight. once i throw a punch i dont jump back like some little crybaby. i rush the fuck out of someone. if youre punching and then jumping back like that, then you should have known your punch wasnt shit to begin with.
i know that in a real fight (as if ive been in fake ones?) i throw a punch with every intention of my next step walking past them as they hit the ground. not that thats how it always happens, but i certainly dont pull this tag and retreat bullshit.

Ditto that. I was physically nauseous after watching that. I 100% thought I was watching someone die. The noises the poor dude was making when they rolled him over, after that piece of shit landed his knee on his skull twice (while it was on the ground) were horrendous.
Legit MMA is one thing. “Underground” fight club shit like this is pathetic, and it’s what ultimately works against UFC and PRIDE from becoming truly mainstream.

I agree…And I regret saying it every time I come here. Always some hard core guy who trains for “the street”
yells at how MMA isn’t real and I’m an idiot. I must be an idiot cause I always come back. But I just do it to help people interested in self defense make a wise decision.
Sure there are some things that can change in ‘the street’ but for the most part if you’re decent at mma you’ll have no trouble with just a regular tough guy, even one who tries foul tactics. The good thing is I see less and less people who 1) think they know/there exists a lethal secret move or 2) think they will bite/gouge/whatever foul their way out of a trained fighters attack.
It’s hilarious to me cause I wonder if they think that in all the street fights experienced mma fighters get into on their way up, especially the older mma fighters where those kind of matches were common. In all those fights do people really think no one tried eye rips/bites and foul tactics? Do people think there are individuals out there, any at all, who aren’t aware of how to use those foul tactics?
Basically the question is do people really think that they’d beat an mma fighter in ‘the street’ cause they would claw his eyes or bite him?

You’ll find, if you ever fight someone who is good at boxing, that they can be quite adept at sidestepping your big punches. People punch and retreat so that they don’t run full speed into a counterpunch.
Having said that, those guys in the film weren’t really doing it right, and they did sort of look like sissies. You’re supposed to stick your jab out until you start making contact, and then throw the right.

Agreed. My Dad always told me that the main use of the jab is for an indication of distance.

Yea, that is a good strategy. A nice jab can make it look like the guy hit your other fist with his head.

like i said, my first move is to just fuck someone up. however, a few times ive fought people that looked like they might know a thing or two, but what it came down to was they werent crazy enough. its like they dont realize that while they walk up to me thinking that they are going to circle to my jab, im going to sidestep their jab and hook the shit out of them.
i dunno, my older brother and i used to absolutely beat the shit out of each other. like badly, and constantly for years. i was thinking about it the other day actually, i mean so bad that i felt ashamed just thinking about it…regardless, i suppose that built the instinct in me to just walk into a fight knowing im going to dominate…so far its only gotten my nose broken twice, and a broken foot- but that was on some guys face, and that was my fault!
