Haha, you had that bet with DB right?
Haha so dumb.
Last pitched to do it was Pedro in 2000 and that might’ve been the best pitching performance in history. Of course Greg Maddux might have something to say about that.
You need to fact check that.
Am I wrong? Who was it then?
But for the sake of argument here’s what I will say…it is a stretch but it it’s not that outlandish.
Look at the last 2 pitchers to post sub-2 ERAs. Clemens and Pedro. Clemens first did it in his 7th season and Pedro first did it in his 6th.
Now, just looking at ERA, Kershaw has a stronger start to his career than both of those pitchers, and what season is he in? his 6th.
If you took kershaws 2011 season and subtracted just 7 earned runs over the entire season, you have a sub-2 era.

You won’t be saying it’s all in good fun when I make you sport an aggressively homerotic avatar. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Dickey looked solid today. Was good to see.
As a White Sox fan I have to tell you not to get too excited over his performance tonight. I don’t mean to take anything away from him, but the White Sox offense has a tendency to be really bad. Tonight was definitely one of those nights for them.

In other news, I am sure excited about the Braves ht start. I know it’s a long ass season, but a hot start never hurt anybody. Sweeping the Nats was particularly satisfying.
Agreed. Been a Braves fan for about 35 years and it’s good to see them off to such a great start. Playing hooky tomorrow with the family to go watch the game against the Royals.

That sounds like an excellent idea. Business Man’s special today. Baseball, Hot Dogs and beer sure sounds more appealing than work.
And fuck me if it didn’t work out! I knew they had to lose sooner rather than later but still, didn’t HAVE to be today did it? I still had a great time with my family though!

The Yankees are done. I am happy about that. It’s nice to have a year without their annoying asses winning all the time.
That said, I wish speedy recovery for Jeter. I always liked him despite being a Yankee. Amazing career and managed not to do anything horrifically stupid in a long baseball career off the field. It can be done!

And he’s still a jerk. I don’t care that he did riod’s. I get really irritated when people try to throw other people under the bus to cover their own sorry asses. And in the end, there is not a soul alive who believes he’s innocent.

No Jeter No Granderson No Texeira…9-6 to start the season, holding the fort until these guys come back…“done” is certainly a relative term.

It’s not a bad start, but they have no depth. And that will get any team. And even when these guys come back, it’s a question of how effective they will be and when. The starting pitching is ok, but not great. The bull pen isn’t very good (save for Mo, he’s always good). And even when healthy, they are still old. Not feeling it’s their year.
Of course, it’s baseball and anything can happen. But the tangibles aren’t in their favor.

Wrong…the yankees have one of the best bullpens in the American League, Mo, Robertson, Phelps, Logan and Chamberlain. Their starting pitching may be old, but its still very good, CC, Petite and Kuroda is a strong top 3. With Hughes and Nova rounding it out you could do alot worse.
When the aforementioned guys come back, their depth will be there. Im under no false illusions that this year will be a great year however the idea that the Yankees are going to win 75 games is just blatant hope for haters like yourself.
